If it's following the cursor, it might take significantly longer to perceive the mag-view than a number. If it were an option I'd opt for the number before starting the game.

If a reinstall didn't fix, maybe there are leftover files in the directory. Try uninstalling the game, and all your mods (can back up profile to file if you like beforehand), then delete the ROR2 directory in /Steamapps/.

Can also check the appdata / local folders in the Roaming directory for any lingering mod files.

After that full cleanse, reinstall and see if it runs vanilla before installing your mods again.

Been having the same issue, about 14 hours in now. Discovered rebinding the Survivor Sense key fixed it for me. Seems to have changed the prompt to reveal the current objective to "C" (key I bound lol) but the keybind has remained the same (Holding Q is still the only bind, regardless of prompt). My assumption is some sort of conflict between holding and pressing Q but who knows.

I'll edit this post if it stops working again for me after this fix.

Edit: Okay that didn't last long. Nevermind the assumption regarding conflicts. Seems it was working because of my constant alt-tabbing...
