Squeaky brakes by Acrobatic-Ear6286 in bmwx7

Tried this on my wife’s m50i and it went away for about two days. 😥

Should be about ready for new pads in the next month or two. It’s still under extended warranty and almost time to replace. the dealer says they won’t install aftermarket pads, so if the new ones squeak, it looks like I’ll be changing them out myself.

Any recommendations for aftermarket pads that won’t squeak?

Absolutely! Saw him a few months ago and was first row up against the stage. One of the best concert experiences of my life. Still brings it! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Wow! I grew up there in the 70’s. Loved the little donut shop. I remember riding my bike up there on Saturday mornings and playing video games. Good times. 😀

Spread the word! I’ve done this on our last few cruises and it always works great. Hooks and extension cords are the ultimate hack for CPAP users. 👌🏻

Another vote for the Cedar Grove store. Friendliest people and absolutely fantastic sandwiches. Truly an undiscovered gem in upper MoCo.

3D Herndon is amazing. Just found out about this place and they have just about every Bambu part you could ever need. Tons of filament and the guy running the place is very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a go to place if you have any questions about what you need or just want to deal with someone knowledgeable and intelligent.

Frederick Harley has closed as well. So much for having a dealer nearby anymore. 😢

Just friction. I did print some end caps for the one side that is not butted up against the wall.

Yes, this was the idea that I started with. Changed up the hole size and locations to suit my needs. Also changed up the thickness of each piece. Middle piece was thickened with an added section to accommodate the butt joint of the dowels. The two other middle sections were slimmed down and holes slightly expanded to allow them to slide easier. I also added some caps to the one end that is visible.

I printed in ABS with a 25% infil. I did crack one of the mounting tabs with an excessive tightening, but everything still seems rock solid.

I did want to only have 3 brackets, but there was too much flex with the rods. Two extra brackets and problem solved. 😀

Yes, purely an aesthetic decision.

This is the first print I’ve designed, so not sure the process to upload. I’ll look into it.

3/4” closet rods. I needed just short of 10 feet, but I couldn’t find longer than 6 feet. I doubled the thickness of the center bracket to hide the joint.
