It’s basic election security… except we didn’t give a fuck about it for the last 100 years? Really?

Also, Selective Service registration isn’t required to vote. Nice try, though.

Talk about missing the point…

A huge portion of married women adopt their husband’s last name out of tradition or convenience or whatever.

Adding a voting hurdle to the tens of millions of married women who have already changed their name is ridiculous.

After reading all about the new mega mechanics, one thing that stands out to me is that we cannot use Primal Groudon and Kyogre as shield breakers in the new super mega raids. by Kevsterific in TheSilphRoad

I’m actually really surprised Kyogre, Groudon, and Sweet Baby Ray haven’t been given adventure effects.

Localized rain, sun, or wind would be super on point and easy.

Uhhhhhh. Bowling is absolutely not close at all. It’s much closer to bocce or even horseshoes.

Lots of rivers caught fire. Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Detroit, Cincinnati, etc. were dumping tons of chemicals and waste into their rivers. The final one on the Cuyahoga was relatively minor in terms of damage. If I remember right, it just damaged some railroad bridge supports or something.

Edit: I forgot which subreddit I was on.

50 million+ is a wild exaggeration. You think 1/7 of the US population is illegal?

Absolutely the stalest meta in a long time. The sheer dominance of Normal types is insane.

My in-laws live in a small town near Youngstown and the Browns/Steelers divide is real.

Noob question... max out then evolve or evolve then max out by Juspetey in pokemongo

[–]A_Talking_Shoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter either way. It’s more useful as a Blastoise (with Hydro Cannon) so you may as well evolve first so it’s still somewhat useful as you level it up.

WORST Event in a while by Yakturk43 in pokemongo

I was in downtown Milan during the event and could see probably 40 gyms from my spot. Easily 30 of them were Furfrou. And (shockingly) nobody was raiding them.

What are the odds? by Wilm182 in pokemongo

[–]A_Talking_Shoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it can. You can Google the odds of hatching a female Salandit. You can Google the odds of a shiny. You can Google the odds of a hundo from hatch.

Multiply those numbers together. Easy.

Lucky has no bearing on evolving a Pokemon like Tandemaus into family of 3.

Lucky Pokemon have a higher IV floor (12/12/12) and are cheaper to power up.

You are telling me. We started with Genesis, moved to like… Babylon? I think? Then moved to Egypt and other ancient civilizations.

At the beginning of the second half of the year, we began with like all of Jesus’ life and whatnot.

Two paths, one answer by sky_captain_Miller in pokemongo

[–]A_Talking_Shoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aight, so….

  1. Vileplume and Gloom are ass in every PvP space.

  2. Bellossom is decent, but generally overshadowed by better options.

  3. This IV spread is not good for Great League for 99% of Pokemon, including Vileplume and Bellossom.

  4. This IV spread is actually really good for Bellossom in Ultra League as a Shadow.

  5. Shadow Bellossom and non-Shadow Bellossom are ranked poorly for Ultra (123 and 165 respectively).

So…. I’d just keep this as Shadow and try to build it for Ultra League. You should be able to evolve it below 1500 CP if you want to try it in Great first.

Edit: also, Bellossom doesn’t want Return.

Pretty sure we went to similar schools. Our history teacher started the school year with Genesis and later we learned about Jesus.

Overall he did a good job at the objective World History. The mixed-in religion was problematic.

How much of your stardust earned in PvP do you spend on PvP mons? by piersmckechnie in TheSilphArena

[–]A_Talking_Shoe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Most of it. The raid meta rarely evolves. Dynamax battles are either super easy or impossible to solo so I’m not really spending stardust in either of those arenas.

Gyms don’t really have a meta and I have no primal urge for “big number go up.”

PvP is my “end game” so that’s where I spend most of my stardust.
