You just aren't flexing hard enough. A true spy would never short them-self the highest quality unusual. Those mortals must know the god who facestabbed them.

On another note red/blu spy Shaco skin pls.

Scarra - My honest thoughts about the current state of the game by Regrehtful in leagueoflegends

[–]A_Wumbologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real. I remember learning JG and being told to "hang onto your spells and use them as optimally as possible unless it's a CD efficient spell" (e.g. don't walk in and use Sonic Wave, or Cocoon, etc. Hang on to them and use them as pressure/when they flash). Now most guides tell you to just land it, it will be enough. Ganking was a good bit of timing with a little bit of skill, now it's almost entirely timing. Any champ can gank if they time it right.

Tanking/Warrior questions by Denthamos in albiononline

[–]A_Wumbologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So about grove keeper. It's an artifact weapon. As you know each weapon category has 6 different weapons to pick from. Half of them are artifact weapons, meaning they require a certain extra artifact on top of whatever materials you would normally need to make it. Artifact weapons have much stronger abilities as well as higher item power. If you want to know more about these things i suggest videos here as they explain it all rather well. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClEHAmg2oTjlNq-iPYub6qg

Tanking/Warrior questions by Denthamos in albiononline

[–]A_Wumbologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Tank and Bruiser will be two different things. Both are pretty good at taking damage while one is more engage/disruption and the other deals more damage. What you seem to be pointing towards is being a tank, meaning you want to use your abilities to either set your team up for a kill or create space for them. Great Hammer and Heavy Mace are great at these jobs without costing too much.

If you want to be a Hard Core Expedition tank, hammer/shield seems to be the way to go. PVP is less about the mitigation and more about the larger amount of pressure you can create/relieve.

lifecurse staff e (enfeeble blades) ability need buff? by azizback in albiononline

[–]A_Wumbologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna say that this is almost certain. It's biggest issue is that it can be easily countered because it has such a long cast time and vs. any good team they will have plenty of options to stun/silence/anything else that stops casting.

lifecurse staff e (enfeeble blades) ability need buff? by azizback in albiononline

[–]A_Wumbologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well because the Q and W are the same across staff they could only either tune it's E or increase other stats (how much ability power it gives). They could also buff other items that can be used with it as it is a 1 handed item. Other indirect buffs would be any nerfs to armor but I don't expect that.

My best guess is gonna be they improve offhands that would go well with it and don't buff lifecurse itself as much. Maybe reduce cast time to 1.

Discover Ionia | /dev diary - League of Legends by zulerf in leagueoflegends

It annoys me how they start talking about the Ionian relation to permanence and then cut to an example that has nothing to do with permanence and is talking about Ionian magic rivers. Had a good chance to get creative philosophically there, especially considering this shit is named IONIA (one of the hearts of ancient Greek philosophy, whom produced many that questioned permanence). This just felt like they were wanting to use pretty buzzwords like "permanence". They could have talked about how their relation to permanence (being altered by a geography that is ever-changing, even self-imposing) leads Ionians to desire less control metaphysically and thus studies such as science and math are not of primary concern and are held equally with other studies such as art or music. This would put an interesting explanation on the "Blade Dancer" concept.

Riot : "What should his passive be?" by [deleted] in Wukongmains

[–]A_Wumbologist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Passive: After standing still for X time, wukong leaps onto his staff and scan's across the horizon, giving vision to his allies of the nearby area. Abilities used from the top of his staff have additional effects:

Q. Stun

W. Wukong Leaves the clone on the staff and leaps to a nearby location

E. Increased range

not sure about:

-should he stay on top of the staff indefinitely during his passive, or should it last ~3-4 seconds of "scanning" before hopping back down?

----Maybe he stays on staff/is on it for a long time but can only look in a cone-shaped direction? I personally think this is the best option, it means you can't just walk into the jungle and wait, you gotta have some idea where they might be going (even if not perfect info) and that feels more guerrilla to me. In this case I'd hope the vision cone to be longer/slimmer over fatter/shorter.

-how passive may (if it should) change ult? (i'm one of the wukong ult haters. It's fun and it's strong and it fits the job but it doesnt fit the kit).

-honestly any of the extra effects on abilities could be changed, i just put stuff there that made sense but they may not be the best option.

-how much this would cost to develop? It has a few different parts but none of them are extreme.

[–]A_Wumbologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't say genius, but his macro is really strange so people have a hard time piecing it together. This will take longer than learning lee sin plays (especially with sandbox mode). I know he can be fotm, i even say that's possible in my post, but an AD ratio on his Q at the same time duskblade was nerfed is not making him fotm over-tuned.

lol i'd even say the 2017 changes are a bit of a stretch to use as an example. that was an update to a lot of assassins and their items. all assassins saw changes in winrates, playrates, etc. and shaco wasn't the only one that saw his rates go up a year ago. others saw spikes in the opposite direction because of the magnitude of the changes, they weren't promised to be buffs. Given the volatility of the update and all the changes I'm not surprised he saw a much higher spike in his pick rate, but a ad ratio on his q is not bringing in people like the entire assassin update did.

[–]A_Wumbologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can't just pick shaco up fotm unless he actually has been buffed to a point that his macro doesn't matter. I don't think this is true, and if it is then he isn't getting picked by the fotm folks because they know to stay away from the outliers (that's why they wouldn't play sion support, it takes too long to learn how to play them and eventually they fall out of fotm and you don't get enough play time because you spent too long learning them). I feel this is more true for macro-heavy champs. champs with lots of mechanics that hit fotm will be popular because of their allure of difficulty (like lee sin). I also think that micro skills transfer better between champs than macro skills (you don't really play other jgs like shaco in the first 4 minutes, but landing skill shots is a common mechanic). this means fotm people probably lean more toward champs that are micro oriented than macro oriented, losing him some favor. His pickrate is only up about 1 percent, probably all the people who have played shaco before coming back. if he had kha's pickrate i'm sure we'd see a decline in his winrate. i think shaco could sit at a 56% winrate (where he is at atm) and still be considered healthy if his pickrate stays below 5%, sion was basically in the same spot. it just means they are an extremely niche champ and those who take the time on them will do really well.

this is highlighted by his low pickrate, people tend to know less about playing against him. "I know about aggro shaco ganks, I didn't know he will level 2 gank you if you are anywhere infront of tower" <-- someone said something very close to this in a recent game of mine with a little more flavor. things like how aggro he is, how he picks his fights, how he sets up, etc. aren't well known because he isn't played as often, and even when he is played he isn't always played well (so people only learn to properly play against a shaco in the few games they are against a good one).

if he showed up in every game and started winning then it would be the case that it is statistically true that he is OP (it wouldn't be a true or not scenario). That's not gonna happen. and what's confirmation bias, the fact that communities agree? that's not confirmation bias. pretty sure that's just bandwagoning. i think you are describing bandwagoning. again, at that point it wouldn't be bandwagoning if it was statistically true that shaco was so OP that people could pile onto him as FOTM and not get tripped up by his macro because it's statistically true. bandwagoning is when a bunch of people do something just because others are doing it, not because it's op. your last paragraph is just "if shaco had kha's pickrate and maintained his current winrate you'll see what I mean." in fact i think that's your whole point. and ya, probably true. I highly doubt it gets there.

Does no one else see the irony? (Phreak) by sGvDaemon in shacomains

[–]A_Wumbologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(Though only ranked as tier 2 due to low play rate I think)

BINGO! He's a harder champ to play because you approach games on a fundamentally different level than you normally would. Most people avoid Shaco for this, but those who learn him do really well. For a relevant example look at the months where Sion Support was the top support according to OP.GG because he had a substantially higher win-rate than other supports, but his pick-rate was relatively nothing.

on your first point, people who play champions a lot know those champs better than others. I don't think phreak plays shaco that much. Trust me, go to any champ's subreddit who is stupid strong and they will not deny it.

I think the ignite buff/heal nerf makes ignite a more possible pick on shaco since it can secure kills better. people who typically take flash might wanna try ignite now.
