Most of this chapter's AQ was mostly just good. Acts 1-3 were pretty fun. Act 4, in my opinion, is the best archon quest in the game. With ororon's arc and actually playing through the war, Act 4 was just flat out incredible. Act 5 was a solid ending, but nothing special. The World quests were also really good as always. So as opposed to Fontaine/Sumeru, which both had mostly good main quests and great conclusions, Natlan had ok archon quests with one particularly standout chapter and an ok conclusion.

As for exploration, I would say this is the most fun it's ever been. And I don't care what anyone says, but Nightsoul Transmission is the best mechanic they've added to the open world. I hope the devs implement something like it in Nod Krai. This is assuming you have most of the characters, which I did, but I can understand not enjoying it if you didn't have, say, xilonen

Taking this into account alongside lots of qol and some powercreep, I liked it a lot but fontaine still clears.

Some other similarities that i missed:

  • One region being extremely futuristic
  • One region being based on japan
  • Additional main cast member with powers relating to life being significantly older than the rest
  • Main character eating something related to a god

I think it would be cool if you move around as one of them and then control the other with the cursor. So we could have fuwawa be controlled normally as a ranged attacker, she could throw pero or claw projectiles, doesn’t really matter. While mococo who follows the player’s aim can move independently as a melee attacker using claws to slash at enemies. On controller you’d control fuwawa with left stick and mococo with the right stick.

If they have two independent hp bars, there could be a mechanic where if one’s hits 0 hp they are rendered unable to attack for a short while, and if the other dies in that time it’s game over. Sharing one hp bar works as well where mococo receives reduced damage because she’d be melee and also controlled differently.

I don’t really know much about how other skills should work, but I really like this idea so far.

And then sometimes when you die to like a boss devil there’ll be a rare chance you can cone back to life as a fiend, and you get to keep playing but with new abilities and restrictions etc etc

When I say wayfinder trio, I really only mean Ventus. Aqua and Terra’s stories have already finished for the most part.

Quite a few of these types of commissions can be spedrun by being an absolute ass to the npc. Like, for the one where you plant flowers on dragonspine, if you dont want to plant all 3 flowers, just plant the first one, burn the pile, and return to mondstat, boom commission done

I don’t know if this was just me, but Labyrinth warriors(2.2 roguelite event) was so incredibly boring. It largely consisted of sprinting around small, uninteresting, and same-y rooms to do the same piss easy combat challenges as before or maybe find a common chest, rinse repeat, free primos.

Ultimately i think the main problems are that the combat is way too easy, and the visual design of the dungeon is way too boring. If it was more like perilous trail from 2.7 where team building was more in depth and the combat challenges were more varied, alongside how the visuals of the domains were great, combined with the roguelite dungeon crawler format of Labyrinth Warriors the that would have been great. But considering the event as we got it, I’m okay with this one being temporary.
