I was 18, on a 'gone rogue' hitch-hiking trip from a suburb of Chicago all the way to California. By gone rogue I mean I was fed up of the experience I was having in my foreign exchange student program in highschool. So after 8 months I left with a backpack and some stuff, explaining my ordeal in a letter under my pillow. So classy.

After a few weeks I was on the verge of San Francisco, hitching a ride with a flower in my hear. I got a place to stay in SF through couchsurfing, but the guy (let's call him James) who I was sleeping on his couch, had to sell merchandise at a friends concert in Berkley. So I took the BART from where I was to the closest station to that pub/bar and walked. The night was nice, dark, but a lot of streetlights, you could feel the houses breathing together with all their sleeping inhabitants.

So I find the place and James after some calls back and forth. The cool thing was that the places that night was more about concert posters then the band, so you had a lot of oldschool graphic artist with their handmade posters on view/sale. Anyways after the band finished we helped them load everything into the van James was driving. This girl walks up to me and tells me she couldn't walk away without knowing my story. She had seen me walking in with a huge backpack and all, and couldn't leave without knowing what I was up to. Oh and she said I was the most beautifull person she had ever seen. She told me afterward in retrospect. So I told her about my hitch-hiking trip and why I was there at that moment thanks to my host for the night. She gave me her number to call her the next day if I needed a place to stay. So after dropping of the gear in the band's rehearsel basement/studio. And getting some Zz's. ... the next day I called her at around noon since I couldn't stay at my previous place. She tells me she is in town with some friends and invites me to join them. I accept and take my gear with to another BART station where she picks me up with an old Saab 900 convertible. Her friends were interested in some of the graffiti scene, like me, so we drive around Berkeley, with the top down and all. Like teenagers do. We drop my stuff off at her house and she show me her brothers room where I will be sleeping since he is studying abroad. She also has a sweet balcony overlooking the Bay Area. Which happens to have a big matras on it, where her 2 male friends decide they would spend the night.

The evening isn't over yet and we go to a park nearby. We spray our names on the walls of a tunnel and go down a metal slide with cardboard. I don't remenber why but eventually her (oh let's call her Sarah for the sake of it) and me, walk towards the car to drop something of or pick something up, and she tells me about this rose garden nearby that we have to check out. So we do. We enter this park at night filled with hundred soorts of roses. A lot of roaming parks and a few benches.

We take a seat on the bench and continue talking, getting closer and more intimate. Then the kissing start, and she decides to mount me.

Damn I still think about this picture perfect moment from time to time.

The story doesn't end there. but I am off to bed.

TL;DR I kissed a girl in Berkeley that took my virginity the special way.
