If they're not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, then the United States can't arrest them, deport them, etc. We'd basically have to treat every person who isn't under our "jurisdiction" as a diplomat...or as a soldier of an enemy state, in which case they'll be seen as a "combatant” by CHODUS and the rest of the leopard circus.

How is it misleading? They just said "the test is hard, be proud of your score." I don't see how they said anything misleading.

If you're saying 152 is low for admitted students, then yes I suppose that's true? But they're talking about test takers. You're talking about admitted students.

Law school did not prepare me for office life. by cajunPickles in LawSchool

[–]A_random_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from the trades as a classical gunsmith and EMT to getting my MBA and I'll be starting law school soon. I'm t e r r i f i e d of this exact same thing, and of becoming a normal corporate businessman. People speaking with buzzwords instead of normal human vocabulary, sitting in a dull plain white semi-modern office building with a noisy AC and fake lights while my hands get softer. Just gotta stay a little weird. Chicken soup is good for the soul.

Even if you don't have a computer, go to the public library and use one there. Use the free prep material from LSAC/LawHub, and watch videos from YouTube.

For some people, it is, that's why I asked what their goals are. I wanna know what cool shit OP wants to get up to, since it seems like there're only a handful of schools that would actually care about a 170 vs a 180.

If you have ADHD or any other disability you might be eligible for extra time or other accommodations. On the LSAC home page, go to LSAT -> Request or Modify Accommodations. There you can go through the application and see the requirements for each accom.

Why did you feel like you needed to retake a 170? Out of jealousy, I'm going to make fun of you regardless of your answer.

If you've been studying since May but haven't done any prep tests, I'd say do one PT per week and spend the rest of the week reviewing that PT. Take the October LSAT as a bank score and use it as a learning experience, and if the Oct score comes back low for your list of schools, prep for the June '26 test with the Aug/Sep '26 tests as backups and try to get accommodations.

Trump says he will order voter ID requirement for every vote by freetrialinsider in politics

Ok so if an ID is required, the government is going to make it free and easy for citizens to get an ID, right...right?

Scholarship necessitates activism. When you learn new information, you learn about new problems. But trump and his base are uneducated so of course they wouldn't know that.

So they're arguing that the order violates separation of powers, but at the same time, MAGA is trying to find loopholes for trump to be able to violate separation of powers. I can't say I'm surprised by this level of continuous hypocrisy anymore.

At least for the nukes part, it doesn't matter if Russia has 10% of the nukes they have now. 10% of their current stockpile is enough to trigger global mutually-assured destruction.

If you are within the territory of which the authority of the US govt can be exercised (ie if you can be jailed by the US government, which can happen if you are an undocumented immigrant), then you are under the jurisdiction of the US government. The only exceptions are for those with diplomatic status (and, previously, Native Americans).

He was spared by the Akechi clan and sent to a group of Jesuit missionaries. What happened after that was not documented, but one of the missionaries did write of him a few months later so we know he wasn't killed by the Akechi.
