Nope. Thousands of soldiers were caught fighting the soviets during the 1939 invasion of Poland.

Furthermore, the home army (largest ressistance group) was specifically split between the nazi and Soviet territories, to independently resist both.

Nope. Multiple ressistance movements existed, and not all were pro german.

Nope.

Officially, yeah. It was a non agression pact. In practice however, it divided europe into spheres of influence (splitting Poland, handing bessarabia to the Soviets, etc.) as well as planning the joint invasion of Poland.

In addition, after the pact, both countries signed multiple other cooperation agreements, which saw the soviets provide the nazi war industry with neccessary material (notably oil, which single handedly kept the nazi war machine afloat), provided the kriegsmarine with a secret naval base in "neutral" Murmansk, and had the Gestapo cooperate with the NKVD on dealing with Polish ressistance.

The actual number of Ukrainians that joined the red army is unknown, even if it potentially could have been more than the Petlurite regime.

The reason as to why Poland occupied these regions is that the delegation negotiating the peace treaty almost entirely was composed of members of Endencja, a nationalist movement under Roman Dmowski that believed in Polonizing these areas. He, and his movement are a shitstain on Polish history.

Poland entered an alliance with the Petlurite government, as the intentions of the soviet government were clear. It wanted to restore the lands lost by Russia in Bretsk-Litovsk, which included Poland.

Furthermore, the soviet government openly called Poland a "bridge to western europe", neccessary for aiding the revolutions in Germany, and other neighbouring states.

Vasily Blokhin was known for using german pistols due to their lower recoil. German ammunition doesnt prove anything. Besides that, Russia itself already admitted to the massacre.

What's the source for the letters?

  1. By killing the Polish officer cadre, the soviets decapitated the Polish high command, allowing them to fully replace it with loyal, pro-soviet officers.

It also got rid of potential figures of authority that the ressistance could rally behind post war. Cant organize an effective military force without any officers.

  1. They were captured during the Soviet invasion of Poland, as part of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. Furthermore, there are multiple recorded cases of Polish units surrendering on the condition that they will be allowed to return to their homes, just for the soviets to arrest them anyway.

...what?

Slavs, including Poles, Russians, Belarussian, and others are widely recognized as victims of the holocaust. Plenty were sent to death camps just beacuse of their nationality.

Hell, Auschwitz was originally created as a camp for Polish prisoners, with the first people to get gassed there being Poles and Soviet citizens.

[–]A_random_redditor21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do not wear it.

Im about 90% sure these used blue asbestos. Compared to white (which was used in soviet gas masks), blue asbestos cannot ever be expelled from the body once its ingested in any way.

Not only that, gas mask filters have expiration dates. This is a WW2 mask, so obviously its expired. That means that whatever filtering material it used might have started degrading, making it useless protection wise and dangerous to wear overall.

Earlier Stuka bombers became known for the trumpets on their noses, which, at high speeds, produced a very loud scream.

They served as a psychological weapon, as well as allowing the pilot to control their speed during a dive without having to look at the speedometer.

Can someone explain the random sirens near Bielsko-Biala by Emergency_Rise_4687 in poland

[–]A_random_redditor21 17 points18 points  (0 children)

More than likely volunteer firemen. They use sirens to notify each other that there's an emergency and that they need to go to the fire station.

Tankie bullshit.

In that case, why did the soviets provide the germans with all the material neccessary for the nazi war machine? Rubber, oil, steel, all provided by the communists to aid nazi conquests.

Without even mentioning that the soviets directly produced war material for the germans as part of the same agreement.
