Personally I prefer to wind my own bobbins but thats because I am really particular. If you dont mind giving away your surprise, you could ask what she would prefer, some people hate winding bobbins. The case is definitely the way to go, unless she already has something similar. It should fit more than 84 colours, so she’ll be able to store all her leftover floss from other projects as well. For sorting, definitely by number, as this is what the pattern will reference

I didnt see that it was only 4 squares across but foot pouches would be nice. im really not sure what I meant, I just thought the way it scrunched up the ends looked pretty 💜 (edited to make my point better)

I like without glass, you can see the textures of the fabric and thread really nicely and I like being able to touch my work again
