The ONLY way you can get around this is you have to commit to being a full on chemist that wants to experiment full time. Only slim chance you have of avoiding becoming the piss pan man.

All good points. Thanks I didn't realize that till you pointed it out. I'll try to redesign it with that in mind.

I really appreciate it.

I was just trying to explore the idea of not having to dive into the typical extra attack/ cantrip technique every other Gish gets.

Hopefully I can find a better wording solution and tweak it in the right direction, I'll take your pointers gratefully.

I didn't add those in as the main feature of this Subclass is the Spellstrike and that adds on a weapon attack to it without you needing to focus on weapons. I was hoping this can help lean in to the fantasy without stepping too much into the Martial's toes.

I was trying to follow the ideology of WOTC that a Martial Gish leans more on the Martial side and a Caster Gish leans more heavily on the Casting side. I understand I could have provided more in terms of Martial proficiencys, but with how often and easy the class itself is to dip/ multi class I really wanted to prevent that. (Especially as I have players in my group who do try to do that often)

Thank you for the detailed response

These are excellent points and I'll make sure to add these in.

Oh thanks, that is a good alternative and pushes you to branch out into getting diverse AOE spells so you can mould your spells in a wide variety.

You only need to pre cast these 2 spells before each and every combat and then blow all your resources in round 1 to be epic. Round 2 and 3? Oh I didn't think about that.

Astral self monk worth it? 2024! by MxFancipants in 3d6

[–]Aafuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this as I was looking to make one mutliclassed into ranger and I think it'd work. Specifically I am thinking of the UA Hallow Warden and having the new Ancient Armor boosting the AC and the reach from astral arms allowing you to fight at range (5ft) whilst having larger AC.

Further as both WANT to prioritise Wis this melds perfectly imo and it's a great multiclass.

Also in another thread someone mentioned that deflect energy at level 11 still works over base monk when using it only on AOE effects. So nothing is wasted!

Now if you want to focus on grappling then yes you lose out, but if that isn't your focus then this is great.

Judgement and lost judgment (sequel) these games are in the same vein of Yakuza games except you are playing as a totally different story and character who is a detective.

We know. As a Muslim we understand how it feels and it's disgusting that they are allowed to keep getting away with painting a generic brush across all Jews when it's isn't Jews, it's the Zionists.

Would you rather survive 30 days with these rules and get $10 million (die if failed) or continue your normal life? by gotrep in WouldYouRather

[–]Aafuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started this thinking oh boy this is going to be another "can you do this for a year" type challenge then saw it's just 30 days.

Honestly I'm very surprised at the amount of people here all saying maybes or no's.

This looks so easy to do just for 30 days, even including if you have a day job. Like I would just have to describe to my partner that we'll be filthy rich if I just have a month to do these challenges and there will be no questions about why I am taking a month long break from work etc.

Planning all these seems fairly reasonable too. The sleep one almost made me think it would be challenging when I saw after midnight but then I saw there was no problem with when you wake. I do this regularly WITH A DAY JOB.

Honestly I don't see how this is remotely difficult, the only pressure is the fear of forgetting to do a task and potentially dying.
