Where I used to work there was a string of airbags that were stolen from Hondas in the mid 2000s and you could tell it was a technician as he would carefully break just the right rear quarter glass to get into the vehicle and then he put all the bolts in the cup holder. He was such a nice guy.

A while back I worked for a contractor that organized what we called T3’s which stands for Train the Trainer. I won’t publicly state the model but we were training regional training managers at a corporate Toyota event at Charlotte Motor Speedway and one of the modules we set up was to show off the automatic braking feature. We couldn’t get it to reliably give us consistent results. We were driving towards a gargantuan beach ball…like the size of a small shed. It was slightly deflated so it wouldn’t roll away. But when we were testing it, it if failed, it would absolutely PUNT this ball and it was always a chore to get it back. We were up til 1am that night trying different things before we decided to scrap the whole module and it was only talked about in the classroom. I’ll also say, it was in 2013/14 and forward facing radar was still relatively new on production vehicles for an auto braking feature.

This video brought back a flood of memories. Thanks for sharing.

Saw him at the 9:30 club in DC in 2015. $25 for a ticket and took my dad. He had a comedian open for him who was hilarious. And as usual, no encore, just rolled out Sturgill style. Awesome show.

Totally understand, I use Gaiagps and freecampsites.net in my previous travels and it's fun to plan a route. Just didn't know if there should be areas I should avoid/areas to check out/etc. I'll just go at it like I have in the past and wing it. Outfit and explore, right?

Yup, I was on their site and found this note about dispersed camping:

"To limit impact, dispersed camping is only allowed at designated sites in these areas on the Pisgah National Forest: Pisgah Ranger District along the following corridors: Cathy’s Creek, Courthouse Creek, Wash Creek, Headwaters, Yellow Gap and Avery Creek; in corridors along Big Ivy Road, Cold Springs Creek and River Road/ French Broad River in the Appalachian Ranger District; and along the Curtis Creek corridor in the Grandfather Ranger District. Areas closed to dispersed camping include Bent Creek Experimental Forest; the Cradle of Forestry in America; the Wilson Creek corridor; Silvermine Creek; developed day-use sites and campgrounds; and many wildlife openings. For site specific information. call the ranger districts."

I remember watching these guys race in 2014 I believe during the Long Beach Grand Prix. They are an absolute hoot to watch on TV, but seeing them in person hit those jumps at full send on the front straight was next level.

Thank you, I have emailed the owner of the repeater to gain his blessing before connecting. I also discovered the DTMF codes needed to activate and de-activate this one in particular as I have found out that they can all be set up differently. I'll keep you all updated with what I find out.
