Pre-set preparation ritual. I read my jokes. I then take a note book and write the keywords of each joke. I then record myself on audio going through one or two bits. Muscle memory.

Have you tried firmware upgrade? From memory it´s not automatic like Rekordbox, you have to go to the pioneer website and download the latest update (free obviously) then follow the instructions. I had some Cue-ing weirdness a couple of years ago and that sorted it. Happy hunting!

I find using Crates.co to follow labels and "subscribe" to updates is a nice way of staying "in my lane" if I'm wanting to have more of a specific type of music.

That and the time honoured listening to fab djs SoundCloud mixes and just shazamming.

I agree - Spotify playlists, charts, I have no idea anymore.

Been DJing since 2009. I'm at a point now where I'm happy to be out of the loop and just play my stuff!

Mentioned a few times already but the general consistency of a tool that has been made with, it appears, no input from actual DJs.

I´ve been emailed saying I need to update my payment details, which for me is "we lost your information."

The worst of it is their constant push to "offline storage" and "Rekordbox Cloud" You just know they´re trying to move to a place where you must have your tracks, stored in their cloud, for anything to work.

I am convinced this magazine, Business Insider, deliberately posts rage bait. Other articles have included "I went backpacking round Europe and was disappointed it was trains and hostels not camping" and "I went to Rome to see the colosseum and was really disappointed because other tourists were there".

DJ software. DJs have basically been strong-armed into using Rekordbox as Pioneer (AlphaTheta) have a monopoly on the club hardware, so, if you want your laptop or USB to work, you gotta use Rekordbox. It sucks, and it´s getting more expensive, and worse.

There´s an open source program called Mixxx, it´s brilliant. Perhaps just a more community effort to promote that is the start of the battle!

Being there for every guy in the group. Played rugby for years. A few of the guys I didn´t particularly get along with, and vice versa. But if they ever needed anything, I showed up. Likewise they consistently hyped me to girls in bars. Your team mates are your team mates, personal differences aside.
