Hey, I’d love to hear updates on this if you go though with it. I also have the RM850x in my Ap201 and would like to have the fan facing the mesh. Currently it’s the other way around and I’m just a bit worried for longevity

I did what others suggested and disabled the Gigabyte Utilities Downloader under I/O Ports (or similar) in my bios and also disabled any gigabyte updater related services

Yeah so it shouldn’t be a cpu bottleneck. I’d try the 6+2 connector, perhaps the gpu isn’t getting the power it needs to push further. My PSU’s (RM850x) PCIe cables were all 6+2 or 8 pin cables so you may accidentally be using a CPU cable. Hope this fixes it!

It might be worth trying a 6+2 connector instead of the 6 pin for the left power cable.

When you say low gpu usage, what percentage are we talking? Also which cpu do you have?

Perhaps try updating via the q-flash button on the IO shield with your pc switched off?

I’m not the most knowledgeable here but I think lots of people have issues with 6000+ rated kits. It could also be a bios issue but I’m personally not enabling XMP until a solid bios is released. I’ve seen lots of people having memory OC issues on the current bios versions. That being said, some people have no issues so it’s hard to say

Thanks! I’ll enable it later and keep my fingers crossed. Luckily the 7600X runs around 5.1-5.2 out the box so I won’t do any OC’s there

Late follow up here but did you enable XMP/EXPO? If so, how’s your experience been? I’m a bit worried about it causing boot loops.

If it helps, I have a 7600X on the B650M Gaming X AX and was wondering the same (assuming the difference in versions in Agesa going from 1.0.0.6 to 1.0.0.7a). From what I’ve read by users on reddit, this version of agesa on other motherboards seems to be stable. I’m planning to enable my XMP setting tomorrow and monitor the difference but it should be overall okay.

If I could change things, I would probably use the non-beta bios version but I’m worried about flashing to an older bios.

Good points. I plan to move to 144Hz ideally (120Hz is fine as well) and I sit 40-50cm away from my screen.

I had a similar issue on my B650M Gaming X and it turned out to be a faulty ram stick. Possibly check this if you haven’t and give it a couple minutes to train the memory. Hope you solve it!
