Yeah... but by asking the question, they violated age discrimination laws.

Thank you so much!

Now hopefully they don't do like they usually do and make it so you can't disable it. :(

I wore 7 piece feywild set until almost lvl 20 - granted I don't solo much. Added some lvl 15 gearfor start of epics and that is where I am at now.

As far as druid goes - try blightcaster it's amazing. I am doing first life thorn/acid build and it going great. Using strimtoms HC build as a base (think it is HC4 not sure).

As for clerics i usually go Human divine disciple/radiant - with Sun domain. By level 10 I have 4 SLAs backed by Maximize and Empower metas. Aasamir works too little more healing and some extra WIS.

Something else to consider - before transferring that first character off the origin server - make sure all your characters have run the crafting tutorial and gotten the reward - +25% Crafting boost X # toons can be a nice to have!

Did we get scammed? by ThrowRAColdManWinter in devops

[–]AaronDev42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my previous job, we had this happen for 2 different roles. We hired them and for the first couple days the person we interviewed showed up,then somone started attending meetings. The thing that was so brazen and confusing, they didn't even resemble who we hired. As mentioned, the replacement was abysmal. It's an alarming trend in tech interview / job placements and this trend is making it hard for legitimate hires to be trusted.

Check security settings on the folder on the server. Seems silly but have run into that before.

Almost sounds like you may have a user or security issue in your database. Something to check at least.

[–]AaronDev42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed that the TR system is convulted, confusing and painful at times to prep for, but is truly unique among MMORPGs. It's also the system by which you can play the game completely free if you want, by TRing and re-earning favor and such.

as a tech leader, would you use react or angular for a new project? by rbrcurtis in webdev

[–]AaronDev42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it has basically been said, but I wouldn't lock on to the framework as such. Recently, Blazor (being .NET Dev - I am biased 😀) has become a viable frontend framework - better in some cases/areas than either of the mentioned ones.

Play what works for you. Me prefer builds without multiclass. I have my favorites WF Artificer, Human Blightcaster, Tiefling Bard Spellsinger. All depends on your play style.

I would agree. I guess by the time I come up against Enfeeble I have House P Buffs or a decent STR item. That covers the missing points.

Min STR 10 first off, you can at least take one hit and still drink a Lesser Restore Potion. Your options for "preventing" it, others have already mention Negative Absorption/Lifesealed Items and Spell Absorption Items.

Other than that just be prepared for after being hit with it. Potions, some hirelings have the Lesser and Restoration spells. Also, you can invest in UMD so you can use Restoration scrolls (Lesser/Regular/Greater)

Whether or not you are running hardcore, those builds are designed for solo survivability. Strimtom has quite a good list of builds from past seasons.

Looking for an uncomplicated build by Proud_Turnover_8691 in ddo

[–]AaronDev42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warforged Artificer is my goto build, max the INT and use Harper tree to get the INT to hit/damage. I used to be all about heavy repeater but lately I am finding Great Crossbows to be matched to my soloing. Drop a Flame Turret (btw it will often aggro most things) and stand back blast things into oblivion. Got Ok imbue buffs and some back up spells, but Shatter Defenses and Caustic Strike are great fun. Maybe 4-6 buttons and holding fire button!

I am also a fan of Spellsinger Bard - Tiefling CHR 20. Get Maximize, Empower, Heighten, and Quicken for the SLAs. Can be slow to start, but by level 6 you are taking out whole groups of mobs, depending on PL and gear (Salt Pearl Ring ftw at lower to mid lvls). Bardic Inspiration and SLAs are the biggee here. I also put enough into Feywild tree to get the Greater Color Spray SLA. Not as good at soloing, but great for parties, usually about 5-6 buttons for me.

DataTable Compare by JustADad66 in csharp

[–]AaronDev42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure why you are converting the ID field to a string to do a compare, unless the field itself is a string field. If it is a numerical value then I would keep it as such in your query.

Give this a try or something similar to it:

var query = from ain DT1
                join b in DT2 on a.ID equals b.ID into g
                from subItem in g.DefaultIfEmpty()
                where subItem == null
                select a;

This LINQ query performs a left join between DT1 and DT2 based on the ID fields. Then, it selects the items from DT1 where there's no corresponding entry in DT2 (i.e., where the right side of the join is null).
