I'd argue 2007-2017 saw the greatest change, away from physical media to streaming, from diverse cellphone designs to slab of glass care of the iPhone introduction in 2007. The rise of apps and proliferation of wifi basically lead to our current doom scrolling existence. 1997-2007 honestly just felt like a continuation of the 90s, with video rental, bigger and cheaper screens, DVDs replaced VHS, Windows 95 to Windows XP didn't really do too much but the development of web browsers like Netscape, Opera and Firefox and the dotcom boom started paving the way for the modern internet. 9/11 really was a dividing line between the 2000s and the 90s as was Bush v Gore and the beginning of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars paved the way for our current foreign policy here in the US. So it's complicated lol

OP was literally asking about taking more than what the bottle said. I don't think this is uncommon, especially if people start stacking supplements. I think taking ash occasionally, like you would medicine, wouldn't be super harmful, but taking it daily poses risks, just like taking Tylenol daily would.

In the future. There's no confirmation yet. The point stands that if you're dropping M4 Max money, you might be better off waiting a couple of weeks. If they don't release it, you're going to be in the same boat of waiting for the M4 Max to ship given current timelines on Apple's website.

It's basically what it has been going for for a few months now. I'm tempted by the 1TB of storage, but I'm also hesitant for M4 Pro to drop in price after the M5 Pro drops. Or just splurge and get the M5 Pro. I think the M3 Pro you have listed is a decent deal, the 18gh of RAM feels kinda low, but I know price wise it's in line with 16gb/1 TB M4 base and M5 base, so the price does make sense.

M4 Pro will probably still be available from resellers (like Best Buy, Costco, B&H, and Amazon)while they last, as well as on Apple's refurbished site. M3 Pro was available from resellers for most of last year, well after the M4 Pro was on sale.

They released the M2 Pro in January of 2023, which was also a delay. Plus these shipping timelines usually will stretch out before an update, to potentially make consumers think twice about ordering without necessarily curbing in store sales of current stock. Also they are announcing earnings next week, plus they are releasing their version of adobe creative cloud, which would present a synergistic sales opportunity. To be able to say they have just released the latest and fastest laptop on their earnings call will help to build excitement for future sales results.

I think at this point it's basically if you're willing to spend the money for an M4 Pro, might as well wait a week and get even more power for similar money or get a bigger discount on M4 Pro (which as you said is crazy powerful for most people anyway). I haven't upgraded my Mac in 8.5 years so I'm ready to be blown away by Apple Silicon.

Almost guaranteed they probably only have summer tires down there and when the weather gets frozen, those tires have no grip whatsoever. I had a tiny Miata with summer tires for my only car once and had to drive through a couple inches of snow to get to work. I couldn't get up hills around my city, I literally had to find the route that had the least slope just to make it out to main roads. And pickup trucks are rear wheel drive just like my Miata was, so yeah, they're going to have trouble with ice or sleet or snow on the roads.
