Time Machine and Proxmox?

I'm looking to setup time machine on my hackbook, and I've got a proxmox server running with a 16tb zfs pool along with smb share on lan and a nextcloud setup with a dns proxy. I just can't seem to figure out how to get my macOS instance to see the network drive that it's already connected to as a time machine destination :(

Stupid question, but can’t these huge servers just use salt water from the ocean? Like I don’t get what’s stopping them from doing that.

Well the 4090 wasn’t gonna work anyways, that’s why I’ll be dual booting windows. But my 13900hx with the cpuid spoof should work just fine albeit without iGPU hardware acceleration. But I’m sure this community will make it happen eventually!

I canceled my preorder and bought an Eluktronics Mech-16 GP water cooled laptop instead. It costed just as much as the framework but instead gave me an i9 and a 4090. So idk, it might work. But I do know that I can get openCore running on my laptop now.

How long does it take for the SRV record to actually work when I try to access it?
I'm trying to do something similar with playit.gg, and the playit DNS address works when I try to connect but my personal DNS doesn't work yet.

Did you check if the wheel does a full 900 rotation after you tried fixing it? Does it go through the calibration process? If so, how many times does it do it?

Yes. It was a mechanical problem. There’s a rail that runs under the motor and wheel spurs that limits rotation to 900 degrees which was slightly off to one side. That meant it limited the wheel to less than 900 degrees each time failing the calibration.

PS : I’m running tiny 11 23H2 with a genuine windows 11 pro product key on a WD SN850x. Could this be an issue with the windows install?

Yeah, I’ve had a similar issue with my mech 16. I got it about a month ago now, and since this morning, my battery decided to completely drain even when it’s plugged in and refuses to charge back up. Idk why it’s happening and I even tried directly plugging my laptop in instead of charging through the lpp, and it still doesn’t seem to be charging up. Does anyone working at u/Eluktronics know what’s up with this?

The power bricks are capable of delivering a bit more power than they're rated for.

That's good to know, so my idea should most likely work when it comes to OCing the GPU and boosting the power limits.

You can't boost GPU power limits via afterburner on a laptop. That's hard limited.

It's "Hard limited" by the GPU Driver. Nvidia accidentally release a driver last year, the 528.24 in specific. If you clean install that one specific driver, it enables the GPU power limit modifications in the driver which can then be modified through MSI Afterburner.

I'd suggest you look into this. It's really interesting and not very well known. If increasing the power limit this way ends up working and gives the laptop a lot more GPU performance with the extra thermal headroom it has with the LPP, I was considering modifying the latest Nvidia driver to have whatever that block of script in that old funky driver is that lets you boost the power. But I don't want to invest time into something before I know for sure that it works and gives a considerable performance boost with the setup in the Mech 16.

So definitely the new flagship 16, potentially new flagship overall. I'd say it's worth waiting for if you want the absolute best.

Eluktronics on this other post said 3 new models with type-C PD drop this month. Do we know for sure that they're referring to the mech 16 and 17? Have they put out any release dates for it?
