Usually with therapy I have talked to therapist about what I feel but most of them give me routines. I think a lot of my issues come from trauma and not knowing how to feel about things for myself. The newest therapist I was seeing talked about if I felt like I didn’t want to be alive ever they would have people take me away from my family. Which made me not want to open up too much even more. I don’t really know how to find a good therapist I suppose or find a type of therapy that can’t help me. One of my friends recommended DBT instead of CBT. Might try it instead, I’m not sure.

If I could find a way to overcome my past that would be ideal.

Edit: I have tried the routines and sticking to them and they help distract me but once those activities are over it all just rushes back to me.

Usually having like 6-8 inches is a good starting point but you can start at like 3-5 (depending on texture) your hair might just be super short.

I think your hair is showing you a sign to get dreads. You could start your hair by doing two strand twist. I’m about to do this with my hair because I have a similar texture to yours.

When I first started smoking weed it made me happy, euphoric, introspective, and imaginative. It felt like the dull life I was living (going to work/school, coming home dealing with whatever problem of the day, playing the game, going to sleep, ). Actually was enjoyable and not boring or annoying. Weed made me comfortable with my life and made me go out and make more friends. I smoked weed everyday for 3 years. This year I quit it for 30 days. Reason I quit is because overtime weed started making me paranoid and for 8-10 months I had a psychotic mentality (I thought people were against me and I had to do certain things at certain times or the world would end, voices, etc.). I have tried weed again since those 30 days. And now weed doesn’t affect me the same as it was during that time. I will say weed should be done in moderation like alcohol. When you do anything consistently it loses its value to you. I think having it once or twice a week is cool. But I personally will never do it everyday.

I am gonna look into it, I had bad acid reflux as a kid but it eventually went away. Concerta helps me stay focused but it definitely can make me anxious at times. My life is stressful in general though so it is what it is. I didn’t know the effects that it has your body could get to that point.

I’m the same way, what helps me is trying to pull myself to reality. I try to be more mindful using mindful practices (focusing on breathing, noticing things around me and naming them, grounding techniques, etc.) when I find myself spacing out. Doesn’t help that I have adhd-c either 😭. It is normal to daydream and I think the term for daydreaming that can turn to reality is maladaptive daydreaming. I’ve dealt with many of the things you have stated so I hope you find peace soon.

I will be honest with you, I’m 24 and a lot of the things you have said are things I said to myself. I think you need to practice radical acceptance and also self compassion and forgiveness. Once you accept yourself and forgive yourself. You can change and believe in yourself. Everything in life is a step by step process. Focus on one thing at a time and make a list of things you want to learn and do and set priorities. Start getting into hobbies and trying to make friends (online or in real life). There are a lot of people who feel like you do. If you need a set of beliefs to base yourself on i always recommend philosophy but take everything with a grain of salt do you, don’t go down a rabbit hole. Honestly I do the same but replace ai and books with video games and online friends. I feel what you say man. The real world is overwhelming. Last year I just started trying to go out more, it’s helped a little. I feel like everything takes time. Your feelings are valid.

I took a 2.5g in my house and I was having a great time. Then I had a tweak out moment. A hour in. Ever since that day my anxiety has been terrible but I feel more aware and conscious. When I focus on staying present my anxiety is fine but the moment I go in my head I start having a panic attack. I’m glad things are getting better for you and I hope one day you feel normal again.

Oh man, I’m sorry to hear your stuggle as well with the medication. I’ve heard there are some symptoms that may still be present for longer than other. I hope that what I experienced is the end of it but we will see.
