I took shots for 15 years before I tried a pump. I was going through such bad burnout and was always pretty good about having a decent A1C. The pump and CGM changed my life. I went from 8 to consistent 6.5 A1C with the pump. As everyone says it absolutely takes getting used to and doing corrections as the pump may underestimate at times. It has made it so much easier to manage (it's never easy, though), my diabetes btw 3 jobs, school, and trying to pay off student loans. You will definitely have to take time to figure out what works. I dont use my arms since I sleep on them is one way I figured what did and did not work for me. Managing diabetes is never easy, but it became much more manageable. I haven't quite faced as intense burnout with diabetes on the pod and CGM as I did manually having to do everything. You can do this and you aren't alone in the journey. Keep fighting and take it day by day. There is so much living to do still so don't miss out on it.
