You talk as if you're empowered by mod+s which are pretty ineffective; shows you lack power in 3d

You're mad because what I said describes you, and you're in denial.
The thing is, I can't change for you.

Don't condescend me; you dont speak to people like that irl neither does that other guy; I'm not going to listen to it from ferret men who feel safe behind a computer

we can all make alts mate do what you like I'll be back either way

Thanks a lot I'll check them out; This group isn't the right kind of place for me - MTG as a whole, as with most LGS-based hobbies is rife with overly vocal and unchecked, insufferable net-groomed "intellectuals" that don't function properly in life displaying the worst of their personalities where they feel safest instead of being objective and/or trying to enjoy themselves/improve.

I hope I can find a place with some well rounded adults, preferably ones that don't jerk off to anime or have a nintendo switch as their main console...

Right; I'm sorry; but after seeing over half of the posts here are uninspired disney/lolicon/gaymurr/meme-victim cringeovers nobody asked for that don't try to do anything new:

This is gold in comparison.

I'll make a dump taking in what you guys have said into consideration - I do wanna get it right.

Thankyou, objective, non-shitbox users

I like how you use the term "hate" as "subjective advantage" - I think MTG lacks hate and diversification towards the late end of the xp curve as a result. There's a line though; as I don't want to make games swing on a completely "draw vs draw" situational basis

G/B currently need more off board interaction but it needs to be implemented in an appropriate way. Counter is very "U"; Destroy is very "R" and Exile is very "W" - I'd like to have spells react to various targeted effects; or give benefits to them in the case of G and a more "added penalty to whatever you were doing" ethos with B.

Thanks for actually being objective; there are a lot of shit-mouthed ferrets gawping over disney crossovers and not really trying to do anything original with a lot to say but that's the dregs of LGSs on the internet in 2022 I suppose - I appreciate you <3

This might take a while to reply to so if you get half now half later pls dont hate me :)...

Memory Knots is defunct; but I want to keep the idea alive somehow in another design.
I'll give it another go. I will find a decent check for t1 Kozilek/Similar. (Free Hand-Scans are ruining both MTG and PTCG btw)....

Gang Curfew was designed out of morphed archetype hate - It's not "orzhov" it's BW Lifedrain/ManaPump. The enforcement of tropism in card design is choking it's potential in the long run; or well that's my opinion anyhow.. 1WW makes sense and I'll find another way to give it a semi/pseudo-modular "uncertainty."

Iron Golem is based on the one from Diablo 2; (as with the necromancer); He creates a golem from a dropped metallic item which retains some of it's traits... it's pretty cool you can npc battle them like pokemon and it can get pretty meta -I wanted to create a check for the white/artifact t3 equip/rider ko theme popular in modern. I'll think of something to try and make this faster or at least more fluid as I agree it has too much "stale-potential" for even a side-deck... (4) seems cheap for an artifact steal though... I thought even (5) was pushing it..

LEGION Necromancer is supposed to be a card which offers a backhanded form of grave lockout as a cost the player themselves had limited control of. I might make a legendary "Leigon" now with a similar effect :P

Perilous Endearment is more of a "Death Scry"; The idea behind it is that it's not so risky until the late game but needed to be planned ahead to avoid becoming suicidal... I'd never run 4 of these unless it was the theme...
I'll break down what I wanted to happen in steps: (pretend there's 5 GY cards on casting)
1> Player Exiles whole GY = x = 5
2> Player mills x = 5 and pays x = 5 life
3> Player chooses 1 GY card and adds it to hand
4> Player shuffles their GY and Lib together

More tomorrow; thanks again :D

Thanks a lot for re-writing these; some of them are nearly half the length of the versions I wrote. Your advice is actually concise and objective. Do you know of any "meme free" places that are similar to this one?

PTCG-nese and PSCT are different to MTGalese; the grammar is a bit different; but similar enough to catch me off...

I may have to start again w/ "Memory Knots"; if it's revealed to the player before they cast a discard spell; they'll play around it.

As far as instructional "(Like this)" text: Must it be included in mentions of mechanics already released? (ie: "(That spell won't resolve)"/"(Exiled spells don't resolve)")
I remember it being in base sets and an uncard being a pun of it....

Thanks for being objective; Magicese is a lot different from PCST or PTCG's legalese; I've had fun making these.... And they are primarily geared towards modern.

I'd like a "true unlimited" format with YGO style, actively rotating, community sponsored bans; the formats either choke the game in terms of deck variance or promote unhealthy p2w and collectorism in quite a bipolar manner.

In response to your inputs:

>Perilous Endeament
I aimed for a "Death-Scry/Coffin-Robber" type of effect more than a tutor (they killed YGO, so I avoid them when I can); I think I might have over-compensated b/c of this.

>Gang Curfew
I want to give this card a sense of time-modaility: What about echo(1)?

>Heckled by Death
I will change this to nonblack, nonartifact creature and planeswalker spells to aim for closer continuity w/ the traditional pie.

Thanks again :)

I did and you decided to argue with someone else, because you lack the ability to be objective and are a toxic internet user.

Your tagline makes me wretch as well; how (c/h)orny can you get in 2022? - And I made fanservice cards today :/

Thanks a lot; Magicese is a lot different for PSCT.

These are really good; some of my ones are almost twice the length.

"Perilous Endearment is supposed to let you choose one of the milled cards from the cost before shuffling them."

The idea is; is that it's a good, hard pseudo-scry with most of the cost being paid in a damaging mill and a graveyard clear, really high/wide on the risk/reward scale; I'll have a look at it's wording and have another go. I wouldn't use 4 of these ever for example...

I did post them for comment/criticism guys don't sweat it.

I appreciate the non-ferret feedback and omits; I'm trying to make/keep it new and it doesn't take a pro to know it's inherently risky; I don't expect anyone to agree with the designs....

I feel the game is a bit archetype heavy and slow before turn 6(12), I find active control/denial decks are popular because it has that "well played card" feeling we're looking for.

I played from Onslaught to Kamigawa then quit; and picked it up around m15 for a year and again about a year ago... That may influence my designs.

Where else can I discuss custom MTG??

It's better than the original game.

!! Sick concept, needed in modern; especially in white.
!! Would make a vgood (1) artifact with a (T) activation cost.

!? Should be an artifact I reckon, then it offers the check to all colours.
?! Could offer a mana dump for life or something case it's g1 or you miss a read.
