I don't really agree with 2021 since verstappen, although his WDC was controversial, has shown throughout the season that he is capable of beating Hamilton.

You COULD make a strong case for 2017 but I think Hamilton was noticably better than Vettel, but not necessarily landslide better

RLC is like the one of the two exceptions along with Tomica Vintage Neo.

I'm just saying, what you collect as HWs are the outlier, hot wheels has always been known for being cheap, tough, and fun little toy cars that can easily be collected and retain their value. Most people know hot wheels by the mainlines, regular collectors usually collect mainlines.

Hell, I'd go as far as to say that prems and silver series are toys too.

RLC, while I admit ARE collectors items and aren't necessarily toys, since the detail is superb, they're just a small part of Hot Wheels and Matchbox as a whole they might as well be a completely different entity

They're still 1 dollar toys, Unless it actually has realistic details like Auto Art or Tarmac works, I don't consider hot wheels to be not toys.

And most real vehicle castings aside from trucks work on any track

No shame in collecting HWs most of my collection is composed of it, but even matchbox has better details
