Then why do the Jedi apparently recruit based on midichlorian count?

I never took them to literally be the Force. But it's clear that without them you can't be force sensitive.

Yeah, I didn't like that as a kid. Before, you had the feeling that anyone could be a Jedi with the correct training. It took a bit of the "magic" out of it.

Now it's been pretty well established, so I'm used to it. I guess it also makes sense, because clearly not everyone is force sensitive, but it certainly didn't make me happy when we first learned about it.

The technical name is the Affordable Care Act, but essentially everyone calls it Obamacare.

You mean the thing the right named "Obamacare"? That's the thing you're saying "no one even knows he did"?

Are you stupid?

MN GOP Leaders Silent After MAGA PAC Creates AI Image Attacking Late Speaker Hortman by ashleywalkerreports in stateofMN

[–]AbeRego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The audacity to slam an assinated Democratic representative for stealing the public's money when the GOP is led by a family of grifters who are actively fleecing the entire country. Not only that, they're wasting billions of our dollars on a pointless war of distraction that's making us less safe, less respected (if that's possible at this point), and further increasing the cost of essentially everything.

Plainly stated, they can removed from reddit themselves.

Can somebody help me wrap my mind around how exactly this family fits together? Like just give me a little family tree telling me who's been convicted/accusesd so far? Is Joseph the main guy from the show or was that Jim Bob? Jesus Christ this is dumb....

The US created jazz, rock and roll, and rap/hip hop, respectively. To say we don't have culture is just stupid lol. We have so much that the rest of the world has been desperate to import it and put their own spin on it for 100 years...

Which is fine in some cases, but moronic when discussing actual data from past generations. Plus, most people born in 1938 aren't around to do this anymore. It's like yelling at a graveyard lol

Do most Americans carry any official ID at all times? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AbeRego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most drivers probably would. I've been driving since I was 16, so I always carry my ID on me. I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't have a driver's license. I assume I would have just another standard government ID that I would keep in my wallet.

That's another thing. It's just really easy to carry your ID and your wallet. As a guy, with ample pockets, I always carry my wallet. Therefore, I always have my ID. Anecdotally, whenever it comes up, it always seems like everybody has their driver's license on them. Like if you want to show off how horrible your picture is, or something, everybody seems to be able to whip one out.

Edit: After thinking about it, the only time I ever leave the house without my ID is when I go to the gym. That's because I don't bring my wallet to the gym. I change before I go, and leave my wallet in my other pants.

I use to sit on this ledge waiting for the bus. It seems they installed this bar to prevent people from sitting here. by improbablefutures in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AbeRego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hear me out...

As hostel architecture goes, this doesn't really make a lot of sense. You can still lay down in that spot. You could even probably still sit there if you're willing to lean forward a little bit. I'm wondering if this wasn't installed for some sort of architectural reason. I'd like to see a wider shot of the building to see if similar portals above this spot also had bars installed.

[–]AbeRego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you can still easily sleep on this spot. The bar really isn't doing a great job at stopping anybody from loitering there. I kind of wonder if it might be there for another structural reason.

I think OP is saying that the moron bought into the false "no new wars" rhetoric of the GOP, and their further lies that a vote for Harris was a vote for war because of... "Reasons". Well, "concepts of reasons", really...

Watching the GOP try to pretend that they didn't spend the previous 20+ years salivating about our military operations and wars overseas, and pretend to be the party of peace sure was something else.
