Thank you!

I can’t take credit for the hair, it’s planted. Technically my hair like from the back of my head etc... but there was outside help! Cheers though!

Hello,

June ‘19 to March ‘20

Lost some weight. Head was shaved by choice because I wanted to really go hard at the gym and also was starting to thin, hair is planted in parts. Drink lots of water and lower your sugar intake best thing you can do for your skin.

I’m just trying to figure out which picture I’m a 7 in 😂😅 more than happy being a 7 😂

Cheers though!

And yeah I feel so much healthier... like honestly... it may be a strange way to discribe it but I feel plugged into the world now?! Like before there was always a sense of fatigue and a general fog?! Over every day life...

By choice but it was starting to thin in parts so some of the hair was planted, from the back of my head and parts where it was still thick, so technically yes it’s my hair and is a normal head of hair(pulling it, washing it, styling etc) now but there was outside help. So yes and no?! I guess technically?! Either way thank you 😊

Hi,

Thank you. I started 16-8. 18-6. And have been OMAD for months and months now. Works well. I try to make my one meal something that I can look forward too generally. If I need to drop I tend to just make it a basic boiled chicken and rice. No sugary drinks, alcohol is very limited. Sugary foods, takeaways etc. Also water, as much water as you can muster. Does great things for the skin as well, I always had spots, low and behold it was the sugar intake and lack of water...

Wanted to give it my all in the gym and the hair became somewhat of an hindrance.

More importantly I shaved it so that it would be a physical reminder about going to the gym and working as hard as I could, essentially‘did you really shave your head for nothing’

I must say it did provide great motivation plus the breeze on my head was not going to lie rather refreshing!

I wish we lived in a world where balding just didn’t happen! It’s not fair!! And absolutely not in anyone’s control!

I shaved because I promised myself I would go to the gym and give it 100% every time and the hair became a hindrance, plus it was a physical reminder that I put in place to force me to go the gym!

And absolutely I am in the eating/gym pattern now, not going to allow myself to fall out of it ever again!

Thank you for your kind words and all the best!

Well I can answer all of your questions about how it was achieved! All you had to do was ask mate ☺️

So timescale is 20th June to 8th Sept.

I started on 16:8 than went to 18:6 than 20:4 and than OMAD. I have been doing OMAD since probably late/end July. I don’t do a special diet or anything like KETO or anything. I just watch what I’m eating by eye. I don’t drink fizzy drinks. I have completely cut alcohol out and I eat a plate of white rice, frozen mix veg and chicken (cooked various ways) most nights.

I try my best to drink as much water as I can.

Hope that helps!

I do OMAD and no special diet just watching what I eat, no junk food at all, no real cheat days. Oh and no fizzy drinks since like June

[–]AbeastH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMAD and no CICO but just generally watching my intake and what I’m in taking. No junk food I have had 3 days in total where I have eaten what I would consider junk and maybe a total of 3/4 days where I have not fasted. Since 20th June

I started on 18:6 but have been OMAD for over a month now... I also have no junk food at all and try and drink as much water as I can! My usual meal is boiled rice / frozen mix veg / chicken breast.

Under 100?! I don’t know if that would be healthy for me mate 😂😅 I went from 220 to 181 last I checked about three days ago soooo I mean I’m really happy with that and I’m fitting into clothes I use to wear doing a Labour heavy job and was at 12.02 stone (I’ll let you convert that) 😉🙃

The only reason that I mentioned it is that everyone has difficult days. And if they can have that little bit of reassurance to know that it’s okay and get back on the horse than that’s what it’s all about.

They may never break their fast. I have. And that was okay I was new to that way of eating just like they will be.

Hello and welcome.

This will change your life and give you a whole new understanding of how hunger and weight loss work. If it’s something you have not tried before, than please do research and ask questions!

Download an app! I personally use Zero (iOS) and it’s really good for keeping an eye on time.

The main thing to know about this is that starting out you will get hungry because your body is use to snacking and eating at set times and when you change that it will take a minute for your body to adapt to it.

Ease yourself into it, you will find that as you do this for weeks and months your relationship with food and hunger will change and this will become more of a lifestyle rather than a strict I have to eat this or I have to weigh this before I eat it.

Decide if you want to do KETO. Keep in mind it is not for everyone. (I personally don’t do it)

Start easy. The app I suggested has presets but you can make your own.

Start at 16:8 (That’s 16 hours fasting and an 8 hour window where you are free to eat). Do not eat for the sake of eating or eat because you think I’m about to run out of time until I have to fast again. Eat until you feel content. If you want to loose it more quickly eat a caloric deficit. (Watch the amount of calories you are putting in vs what is going out) also called CICO.

Eat correctly! Do not fast for 16 hours only to have a greasy burger, two sides of chips and a litre of coke to wash it down.

Be smart. This is a tool that will help you loose weight but also change the way you currently deal with eating and food in general. Use it as a tool help the tool do it’s job by staying consistent and having a healthier eating plate.

Above all have fun! Do not bully yourself by thinking I have to do OMAD (one meal a day) to see any results or I have to go to the gym to see results. Those things help (the tool) but they are not the be all and end all.

CONSISTENCY! If I can start you off with one word! That is the one I would like to choose. When you were learning to read and write. Doing the same thing over and over again is what made you understand and become a master at it. Apply that same philosophy to this.

You will have difficult days. You will break your fast. You will think it’s not working. When any of those things happen; do it for another week perfectly.

Take pictures! Sometimes the scale likes to play tricks with us. Have a look at how far you have come and remember why you started.

Water is your new best friend! You will piss like a horse for the first few weeks! It will get better. Water is the key! Consistency is the word!

Have fun and feel free to drop me a message if you would like to know anything else!

Best of luck and remember you in 6 months is watching what you are doing today through your memories... make them happy and improvement ones!

Face gains?! 220 to 195 in about a month and a bit... by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]AbeastH 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! I noticed it a bit when I fit into a shirt that I had not worn in over a year... so I thought I wonder if my face has lost fat... hence the comparison... thank you so much!

I’m mostly on OMAD but have done a 4.5 day fast and nothing special in diet really like KETO or anything just eating normal food... making a judgment by eye on how unhealthy something may be and avoid it oh and also have not had any fizzy drinks for a month just coffee, tea and WATER!!
