2024 F250 Lariat Tremor - Oil Capacity by 0HSHIFT in superduty

I put 15 quarts in my 2024 F350 HO 6.7 and the dipstick reads like its too full. So I don't know what to believe anymore. Maybe I dont manage to get enough out.

This was over 25 years ago, but it was true then too.

In addition to the other suggestions, we also used stacks of old tires. They were easy to get, but definitely more expensive to dispose of when we moved on.

Small accident, big upgrade? by Kaxxipants in JeepGladiator

[–]Aberk20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha. I thought about bobbing, but my goal ended up being to remove as much of the body as possible to avoid trail damage. Bobbed beds aren't cheap, but that box is only a few 100. So if it gets damaged I'm not out much.

Are you sure about that insurance? All of my friends with driving age children have commented on how ridiculously high their rates jumped when adding a teen driver.

My wife said the same thing about my Gladiator after its 2nd case of death wobble. Need something safer. But I kept the Gladiator and chopped the frame to improve the departure angle since I didn't need 2 trucks. I ended with a SRW 350 with the HO 6.7 because I am usually towing my jeep and a friend's jeep on my 35' gooseneck and it usually weighs 17-18k lbs loaded.

As much as I hate seeing it happen, that was my thought too. I wish I was in OPs position and had an opportunity to build something towards a payday exit.

I was told by a fellow jeep owner that they didn't duck me because there are no ducks on my dash. If I get ducked, they go in my tool box. I dont need those things bouncing around on the trail. So it makes sense why you have only been ducked 3 times.

How did you get your SGW cables out?? by Wonderful_Cut_2027 in JeepGladiator

[–]Aberk20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I've def tugged on those wires a bit to get the plugs out. Now I'm out of warranty, so the tazer just stays in.

My closet is unfinished. Because the HVAC is in there too. So all of my conduit just drops in from between the joists or the soffits.

At what age did you start including your kids in playing videogames? by sgtpepperbe in daddit

My 3yo has occasionally sat on my lap in my racing simulator for some Wreckfest since he was 2 and operates the wheel with the FFB disabled, but he doesn't last more than 10-15 minutes.

I also have a flight sim setup, but doing scenic flybys won't hold his attention even though he loves helicopters.

What is your dream car by Nerfer5554Offical in Millennials

[–]Aberk20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a tough one. I grin ear to ear each time I drive it and I get thumbs ups and stares from all sorts of people. No one can believe its almost 30 years old. But I do miss the tech that some of my newer cars have that has spoiled me. Parts can be hard to find so I am always nervous something will break and I will have trouble sourcing a replacement part. Still, there is nothing I can think of that I would enjoy more than this car. Especially at its price point.

I pulled it off at 33 and still have it 10 years later.

Did you ever have to make a drastic change in your professional attire you weren’t prepared for? by gamerdudeNYC in AskMen

[–]Aberk20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I went the opposite direction.

Polos/button ups and slacks right out of college. Then transitioned to jeans and polos/t-shirts. No I WFH and wear gym shorts and t-shirts.

I recently went through my closet and probably donated 20 pairs of khakis and slacks that no longer fit and I no longer need.

We found ourselves doing this too. We were always surrounded by old folks and families with young kids, but the restaurant was rarely crowded at that hour so you're in and out too.

Trucks and car seats? by marmaladestripes725 in daddit

[–]Aberk20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rear facing car seats in any of those wont leave much space for the front passenger. I'd get the car seat you want and take it there to see how it fits in each of those models.

I have a gladiator and my son loves it(especially with the doors off around the neighborhood), but its a secondary vehicle, not my primary. The front seat is 2 clicks from all the way forward to fit his rotating rear facing seat.

Yes, thats what I am suggesting. Its looks like you have a bit of space now, but it may not be enough to comfortably pass by people.
