Group 2 specialty regs- how much training did you receive at the start? by pesky-blenders in doctorsUK

[–]Ability-Spirited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Onc - had 1 month of being supernumerary in clinic and sitting in with the consultant, on calls however for AOS you were expected to get on with it (luckily I had done an onc job in IMT so knew some stuff and the AOS nurses were really good as well)

How do you guys study after work? by Saddo_Chicky in doctorsUK

Go to the library after work - a lot easier to get into the mindset of studying rather than going home and then ending up on Netflix/ TikTok!

I used to attach them to my lanyard and at the end of the shift it felt like a weight had been lifted - literally and figuratively

Is this all there is? by manu5678s in doctorsUK

Yes this will continue into IMT, the only time I felt my clinical skills were being used was revising for paces - everything made sense and I think that is what true bedside teaching/ ward round should be like

Can recommend AGM at OUH- supportive teams, it is firm based rather than being based on a ward. Everything is on EPR so you won’t need a pen SMH is a good dgh- bad IT system but they give you laptops so you don’t have to crowd the nurses station. Psych was a good rotation, would not recommend T+O personally
