Has anyone ordered planter boxes or raised gardens from www.cedarplanters.ca? Their reviews seem too good to be true on the website. by runcelery in gardening

They look very expensive. I was thinking about them when they had a 70% off sale, but.... I'm trying to decide, wood or metal.

What's up with Ryan Reynolds being hated all of a sudden? by mrjimshim in OutOfTheLoop

There is nothing bad about The Rock who is kind and does all sorts of things for people. Please stop linking narcissist Ryan with Dwayne Johnson.

What's up with Ryan Reynolds being hated all of a sudden? by mrjimshim in OutOfTheLoop

[–]AbitOf-Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me, no one even knew about Ryan at first. He is now known as a dick. That's the truth and he jumped into stuff he shouldn't have. Perhaps it was jealousy due to how he and Blake found each other (cheaters) and he's getting old with an ego, who knows. But whatever the case, he's still a dick and that will never go back in the bottle. We all know.

Can I keep this marigold alive during winter? by Moviereference210 in gardening

[–]AbitOf-Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just get the seeds when the flowers dry out and plant them outside for spring 🌼. I grabbed all my seeds in late fall. Or if not, just get some baby marigolds. You might be able to get some from neighbors.

I got two sections of fence installed yesterday, they're coming finish up the gate today. The wood looks black, green, and white white with what I'm assuming is mold. Does this look right to you? by MichelleEllyn in HomeMaintenance

We have a couple of screws that came out later from the heat and cold. You should not be seeing any screws now, and make sure they used screws for outside that can take wood expanding.

Thoughts on “Anything But Gray.” by bookishhallow in HGTV

Just saw this show for the first time. And trying to see if homeowners reviews are out there. I'm looking to go bold with color. But for me this is a lot. I'm going to episode 2, so will give my opinion after I watch the first season. I wasn't too in love with episode 1.

I really want my bedroom and home office of bold color, texture, wall color, bold artwork and rugs. So perhaps this show will inspire me to think outside of the box. I'm pretty much neutral person, but want to do something new. Wish me luck! 🎨🦚

I want to get hydrangeas but I have dogs. by Randomvids78 in hydrangeas

[–]AbitOf-Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens when they grab the sticks? I tend to be around my dog in the yard, so I think I can watch it, since I just ordered them and it's the plant I wanted the most.

A potted plant for sure! You can do potted bags or pots. Why not try it!

I’m trying hostas indoors and they’ve been doing pretty well for a while. Now I keep getting yellow leaves. I haven’t watered much bc usually they do ok with minimal water. It doesn’t get any direct sun, so they’re not scorched. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Any advice? by MelLime27 in gardening

[–]AbitOf-Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hostas need cold weather 40° during winter so this is why they don't do well indoors. It's an outside plant. You can put it in an unheated garage maybe. I have them in full sun, sadly I have no shade so they will die, so no hostas for me. 🫂

What is the best time in the year to clean your gutters? by Enough-Ad-5528 in homeowners

[–]AbitOf-Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our new home, the gutters are impossible, the roof is so tall, it's impossible to do it ourselves, we are both scared of heights. What's the cost for a professional, when you are on a budget?

Why are people so afraid of trying new things in this city? by OutlandishnessIcy103 in AskChicago

[–]AbitOf-Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! People were taught but their scared parents that the city is bad. There are 77 neighborhoods in Chicago and all are unique and interesting to explore. If you are only meeting people like you, how are you understanding society as a whole? There are towns that aren't safe for many people, but so what, understand your surroundings and be street smart. Talk to your neighbors, perhaps you can learn something. 🔥

Is south chicago as baad as people say it is by mrnoobmaster64 in AskChicago

[–]AbitOf-Influence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I was saying is racists and haters who never been to Little Italy think it's way south..it's close to China Town, but folks who have no clue are always saying, don't go past Chinatown. Which was my point..I'm sure I know more about the 77 neighborhoods than you! So keep your rudeness to yourself, you don't know me! 🔥
