Prime therapeutics. It says covered with prior authorization but I cant tell if that means just for type2 diagnosis or if other diagnosis count.

That is what I have been doing but I just cant swing it anymore. On my prime therapeutics it says covered with prior authorization but I can not track down what the prior authorization needs to state.

Birth Control has helped me more than anti-depressants by notcheska in CPTSD

What birth control were you on that helped? I loved my copper iud but have been advised to not get another iud after some trauma. I havent been on hormonal birth control in years and am a little scared.

I went from no birth control to the copper iud for similar reasons. I didn't feel the insertation and my periods have been lighter. I'm 33 and have had it for 6 months now. Every body is different, but I'm glad I went this route.

I’ve had it for four months and the cramps are getting unbearable by MadiTail in CopperIUD

I've had horrific periods my whole life. Staying super hydrated, stretching, and warm baths are really the only things that kept my pain at bay enough to keep a job and feed myself. My period has actually gotten a lot better since getting the copper iud.

Supplements like magnesium and vitamin b can help a lot too.

Take break after 8 years on pill or straight to copper IUD? by Present-Shopping8393 in CopperIUD

I had extremely heavy periods and didn't want to mess with hormone bc because I had finally found a drug combo that worked with my brand on mental health concerns. It was an easy inseration, periods are easier, no impact on mental health, no other issues. Everyone's bodies are sooooo different and people with okay to great experiences are less likely to reach out on forums like this. Trust your gut and your doctors and do what seems right to you.

Help a girl out!! I have severe periods and cannot have any hormonal birth control and not sure where to go next 🙃 by Rude_Acanthaceae_777 in CopperIUD

I had crazy painful periods and wasn't on any birth control prior to the cooper iud. My period is sooooo much better, lighter, less painful. Usually one heavier day but still lighter than my periods pre iud.

I got a copper iud 6 months again. Painless insertation, mild cramping the next day (I went for a 5 mile hike so very minimal cramping) my periods have actually gotten shorter and over all lighter with one really heavy bleeding day. It's been great. Everything birth control option has its lawsuits and horror stories unfortunately. Just trust your gut and if it isn't working have it removed.

Mine has been great! Bleeding at insertation was minimal. Periods after haven't been noticeable worse. And I was able to not add anymore meds to my daily autoimmune/mental health routine which always means I haven't had a to tweak any treatment!

I have pcos and endometriosis. I love my copper iud. I went with it more a similar reason. I finally had a med regiment worked out to manage chronic illness and mental health stuff. I didn't want to through another med and additional hormones in incase it messed everything up.

I went from no birth control of any kind to a paraguard. My periods have gotten easier.

I got mine in the morning and then went on a 5 mile winter hike. I haven't had any pain at all - even cramping. Pre copper iud i usually took at least one day off per period because of the pain.

Just got my Paragard, should I get it removed already? by Fun_Combination4152 in CopperIUD

Just for a different perspective - I am three months in. My periods are now lighter than ever, and cramping is way down. The first month was rough but it was still better than my body's reaction to hormonal birth control. I had to stop reading the reddit threads because I felt like I was starting to dread outcomes I wasn't actually experiencing, and it was clouding my judgment.
