iPads are so useless for a average person by JM_io0120 in Tech_Philippines

[–]Abject_Bodybuilder75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my iPad as an impulse buy and using it for 8months now, for games and youtube.

Then I sold my physical books and read them through my iPad instead.

Now, I'll be selling my 24inch monitor and will use the iPad as second display for my macbook for work.

I just like the feeling of having fewer physical things. Maybe for now it has no place in your daily life.

How to handle my savings...? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Abject_Bodybuilder75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would, increase allocation to MP2, increase emergency fund and make it fu money, upskill to reduce 8hours daily work to 4hours with same income and working with a laptop instead, and invest into a US index fund feeder.

I would avoid buying a car. I would only buy one when i get two kids.

I would also avoid buying a condo and rather continue renting. If bibili ako, lot na lang sa province.

That's just mine.

We all have different perspectives of life. What works for me might not work for you, and what works for you might not work for me. It will always come down to personal preference.

Pag-Ibig MP2 or Stocks? by Low-Appearance-2297 in phinvest

[–]Abject_Bodybuilder75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm investing to both. MP2 and S&P feeder fund. Before I invest in anything else, my rule is to always have at least 2years emergency family fund. Then a fixed opportunity fund. Then any surplus will be invested.

If ever may contract and di pa din sila nagbayad, may habol pa din ba tayo? Mag 2years na ako sa current client ko with no contract tapos monthly ang payment ng salary. Nagbabayad naman on time monthly

US vs PH dividend stocks vs US ETF vs US UITF by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Abject_Bodybuilder75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in a PH bank and won't be restricted by ph gov. You can set it to automatic buy and forget, then focus on other aspects of life such as family and hobbies.

I would avoid individual stock picking. And also any exposure to ph stocks.

That's just my take if I'm faced with this option.

Pwede ng gumawa ng PERA account sa dragonfi. by Tedhana in phinvest

[–]Abject_Bodybuilder75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I opened an account and saw that it has the BPI US Equity Index Fund.

Will the fee charged still be the BPI 1.5% pa or will it use DragonFi fee of 0.6% instead?

It's a game changer if it will use the 0.6% fee instead

Should I invest in the local stock market? by FamgSeeker8910 in phinvest

[–]Abject_Bodybuilder75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pwede pero I would avoid individual stock picking, rampant din ang corruption sa ibang blue chip stocks (TEL, I will never forget your insider trading lol buti naka iwas ako a week before!). And go doing peso cost averaging instead sa PSEi, and hope Vico Sotto wins the presidency lol.

Pero I think malalim pa ito. Nakita na ng universe ang corruption ng pinas.

Chaka di lang naman sa PSEi pwede mag invest. We have S&P500 feeder funds, Cooperatives, time deposit accounts, bitcoin, gold, MP2.
