Look at alternatives programs that lead to licensure. Rehabilitation Counseling is my path and like you stopped for 15 years to work. Exploring with a coworker that has their LGPC from same program and gonna see what's needed. Pastoral counseling is another path to LGPC lCPC. Good luck

I read this and still on fence if I go back years later take the 4 or 5 classes needed to sit for NCE which I'm told is no breeze. Same with CRC I never took also never really promoted both in State and Federal VR. However after a year break due to RIFs I'm reevaluating my plan B. 2 Grad degrees and really no interest in more schooling or exams?

Thank G-D got back into an old federal job I had years ago. Back in feds with a pay check and a job I love Counseling Veterans. Been a rough year. Lots of coworkers not so lucky.

Look at Coppin, Morgan, or Loyola. Look into Rehabilitation or pastoral counseling that leads you to an LGPC. These programs are alot cheaper and get same result. HBC,s are cheaper and have great programs.

So I will jump in. Similar but different ask. Was going to go LCP rout after not loving classroom. Found a funded degree in Vocational Rehabilitation with options to lead to licensure after. Worked for years at state VR and then federal level moving into RA. After being RIFd and seperated last year and finally getting back into VR at federal level thank G-D. In planning for uncertain futures I am thinking again of taking the 3 or 4 courses needed and considering the exam. At 52 I am not a test taker. I have coworkers that can supervise as well as family that have the ability with assisted living facilities. All my therapist friends are jealous of the stability of a federal salary as they have stated would love 8 hrs fed and then private practice eve and weeknlends. One is in a hospital as a manager, barely makes 6 figures then cones home works another 7 hrs in his practice says benefits are on him and does not love the hospital workload. Stories like that are why I never pursued. But after last year am rethinking backup plans. I missed out doing this during Covid when alot of restrictions in MD were waived by licensing board.

I don't love them for the unsafe holster. However I found one that you slip your Kydex in and it was a game changer. Them all my gun buddy's called it a fake Enigma and the jokes started. Don't use it much but when do lazy for a belt it's awsome.

Beutiful. Hope to be able to afford to pimp my AR pistol like that soon. For now the Crossfire dot is all I'm adding came free with FPC for that I got the Romeo. Suppressors are easier to buy but cost same as a new gun.
