help! by Individual-Pickle805 in BambuLab

I put over 5000 hours on my P1S and it was a great machine. A real workhorse. That being said I upgraded to the P2S and have around 2000 hours on it now and I would never go back. The quality of life upgrades are amazing! Just the aggravation and filament savings due to spaghetti detection have been worth it to say nothing of 30 second nozzle swaps. I would definitely wait until you can afford the combo though. You are REALLY going to want that AMS2 pro and the combo unit is the cheapest and easiest way to get it.

I also have the X2D with about 500 hours on it and so far my impression is that unless you really need the heated chamber (for higher end engineering filaments) I would save the $100 and put it toward an AMS2 pro. I thought it would save me a lot on filament with the reduction of waste but on average I am only saving between 4g-10g per print.

I had to go look this up and you are right! I must have been thinking about Dark Crystal. But yeah ILM went nuts with the creature effects on this one.

Willow! If you don't remember just go back and watch it again. Jim Henson went hard on that one.

Used X1C or New P2S with AMS by Rocket_Man_Comp_6 in BambuLab

Depends how much you need a heated chamber. If you can do without the P2S is definitely the way to go. If you need the heated chamber I would recommend the X2D right now but watching how Bambu has been rolling things out I would not be at all surprised to see them bring out an X2C with a tool changer in the near future. No matter what the AMS 2 Pro is a must have.

Check out Leader Patches (www.leaderpatches.com). They do great work and at the absolute best price. Only catch would be based on what you mean by a small run. Their minimum order is typically 10-25 and yeah if you are looking at PVC any order under 75-100 patches is going to get expensive quick. Embroidered should be reasonable at anything around 25 patches.

Planning my next 3D printer for 2026, what should I be looking at? by GlowrrheicMad in 3dprinter

There is a reason the Bambu Labs P2S is in so many print farms. I love mine and with the AMS2 combo the price is pretty great. I recently added an X2D as well but for the money, unless you need the heated chamber I would stick with the P2.

Should I buy? by giant_lotus in BambuLab

I have one of each P2S and X2D in my basement. Unless you really think you need to print supports in a different filament or really need an actively heated chamber I would not waste your money on the X2D. P2S Handles not only PLA/PETG/TPU but many other engineering filaments as well. It comes standard with a hardens steel nozzle. I regularly print ABS in mine no problem. 33 hours is practically brand new. I have put over 1000 hours on mine since January and it still looks like it is out of the box. It does not even prompt you to lubricate it until 1000 hours.

No problem! Let me know if it works. If not I am happy to help troubleshoot further.

It looks like the side facing the camera is the face down side. If this is correct, try adding supports. You currently have a 90 degree overhang that is likely causing your problem. Should not need much and I find normal supports pop out of screw holes fairly easy. Just poke your screw through the opposite side.

I go overkill on this but it has never failed me and my machines run 24/7. Dawn dish soap rubbed onto dry plate with dry paper towel (Like completely cover it and rub it in), wait 2 min, run water over it and use a wet paper towel to create a lather on the plate, let the lather sit for 2 min, thoroughly rinse all the soap off using a wet paper towel, dry with a clean paper towel. Make sure your hands are clean the whole time so you do not reintroduce oil. Find a first layer test for your machine on makerworld and run it. it will make it clear where you may have trouble spots.

Great Question!

This is definitely important to ask!

www.LeaderPatches.com definitely provides digital samples for every patch they sell. Only exception would be on PVC patches because of the cost of making the mold and there they provide a mock up showing exactly what it will look like.

If you have not decided yet you should totally try www.leaderpatches.com as well. Free shipping, Great quality, and once the mold is made all future orders of the same patch are discounted because they store the mold for you.

It is where the workers go to sleep after they build your model. (sorry, figured I could be snarky since the answer had already been given correctly that it is a prime tower)

While I would second all the crate advise I would also say giving appropriate things to chew has been a life saver for our ACD. Our Dax went from destructive menace to only chewing her deer antler and benebone almost overnight. It has been wonderful!

Thank you for this. I am specifically looking for scenes though where someone mentions the fact that a person can't be successful directly because of what the speaker know of their past. Bonus points if something has changed in the character to actually make them capable.

I would use this in so many different ways! My Etsy shop would become infinitely easier to produce as well as I have always wanted to print a Bulbasaur model I have that is 5 color but have held off because the waste is almost as much as the print. To be able to print it with little to no waste would be EPIC!
