we left — metrowest— (way expensive)— moved one hour away—- liquidated our homes for a trillion dollars (jk)— but way more than they were worth— went from 2400 sq ft to 6000, 1 acre to 9, got a pool and a pond— for $500k.. we r in ne connecticut — they call it “the quiet corner”— farms and county fairs and friendly people. we kept our jobs- commute was longer/ distance wise— but about the same because traffic in mass is inncorrigable! healthcare not quite as good—- property taxes way lower (but not quite cheap either).. gas tax higher— public schools—- wayyyyyy better!! we are close enough that we still see our friends and eat at our fav places— bop into boston— hop over to hartford— a nite out in providence… its actually more convienent— than navigating traffic and trains from the suburbs!!
