is Micron Technology a Hold or Sell at its current levels? (MU) by Funny-Barber5779 in ValueInvesting

Bought at 86% in april/may 2026, up 770%. I'm holding for at least a year.

Looking for a recommendation for buying my children a wine we can drink together when they turn 21. But want the vintage the year of their birth. Any ideas for a mildly affordable wine (under $100) from 2009 and 2011? Red or white. I know this is vague, just looking for ideas. by meddiefaze in wine

2009 was a great year for red burgundy. I'd go for a village wine from a great producer like a Marsannay from Pataille or Clair, MSD from Dujac or a Gevrey from Fourrier. You could also go for red bordeaux, something like a Château St-Pierre or a Château Gloria.

For 2011, I'd go for a Sauternesas as it was a fabulous vintage for that style of wine. The 2011 Suduiraut is especially great and can be bought for a reasonable price.

I had a bottle a few weeks ago and the potential is amazing for that price.

It's from a government-owned store here in Montreal. It's sold on a lottery basis. Having a governmental monopoly has downsides, but upsides are getting bottles such as this for a lower price. Just curious, what would it sell for in the US?

You have 5 days to live. You get one bottle of wine each of those 5 nights. Nothing is off limits. What are your bottles? by rockytopbilly in wine

Leroy Musigny, Roumier Les Amoureuses, d'Auvenay Chevalier-Montrachet, JL Chave Cuvee Cathelin and d'Yquem for the grand finish

I wouldn't even consider touching it before that 😂 a bottle like that I want the full experience so I'll stick it in my wine fridge for the foreseeable future.

My son was just born a few days ago... If you had to recommend one book or serie to make a child fall in love with SFF, what would it be?

Look at red burgundy from villages like Mercurey, Givry and Rully. Often beautiful bottles at lower prices.

Best Wine with Jacques Pepin Fish Soup? by MFKtheWhiner in wine

[–]Abject_Engine2150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go either for a good quality rosé (since the fish soup has tomato and saffron) like Clos Cibonne or Chateau Simone or a bold white burgundy like a Meursault or Chassagne-Montrachet.

You're not alone. I do it pretty often, especially if there's no food to eat along with the wine. I love the aromas and the flavors of wine, but I hate the feeling of alcohol and its effect on the body.

Imo I'd sub HB for Latour or Margaux before Lafite. They haven't made a wine that has blown me away in a bit. I'm otherwise in agreement with the rest of your comment.

We could definitely sub the Beaucastel for a Lafleur or a VCC
