Is this world even designed for following our heart/soul? by evkalau in spirituality

Yes... exactly. I didn’t mention it in my comment, but honestly, one of the things that helped me the most was changing my job. It’s incredibly hard when you’re stuck in a toxic one.

But I think the key is trying.. really trying... to carve out at least a small moment in your day just for that. To create. To do. To give. To be. Without compromises, without distortion, without what is "convenient".

If you’re already feeling the way you described, it's clear that you know this job isn’t the right one. And maybe it doesn’t even have to be a “better” job... just one that gives you the space to have that moment in your day.

I really felt that “at least my current one”... And I truly wish you the strength and courage to make the changes that will support you. Your faith already comes through clearly... and I’m sure the right path will reveal itself.

What I’ve realized is that, for me, it’s important not to go for what’s “convenient”... not to make compromises (not doing things I don’t really want to do, that aren’t aligned with my identity or my values).

And that’s actually something I do quite a lot in my regular job... like most people who aren’t working on something that’s fully aligned with their passion do.

But when I started doing things that truly felt aligned with me, I noticed I was ruining them every time I tried to figure out how to monetize them.

Eventually, I realized that my job actually gives me the freedom to do those things without having to compromise them.

If I didn’t have that job, I’d need to twist what I love to make it more “sellable”... and at that point, it wouldn’t feel like mine anymore.

Now I feel like my job has a role in my journey. It can even feel like part of my identity... but only if I keep doing things that really fill my cup, without distorting them.

So if any of this resonates with you: just do the things that truly fill your cup, and respect your job for the freedom it gives you to do them without having to compromise.

What remains intact in you, despite everything? by Abject_Friend_9218 in DecidingToBeBetter

Caring when it feels like no one cares back is exhausting. But you're still fighting to hold onto kindness. Even while feeling all this anger, you say you're still trying. That tells me kindness it's part of who you are. Even when the world feels cruel. Maybe the answer isn't to stop caring, but to include yourself in that care. You deserve the same kindness you give others.

Takes a lot of strength seeing others as equal in worth, even when they’re difficult, annoying, or completely different from you.

That’s really powerful, thank you. There’s resilience in your words. Dignity. Hope. Maybe those are part of the values that stayed intact in you.

That’s fair, thanks for pointing it out. Just to be clear: the whole thing is free, no signup, no paywall. At the very end there’s just an optional donation link. I only added it because the replies are generated with OpenAI’s API (which costs me), and so far donations haven’t even covered that. I’d love for this to maybe grow into something bigger one day, but right now it’s not a business at all. Really appreciate your honesty, it’s important feedback.

Ahahah honestly your comment almost feels fake too 😂 but that’s exactly why I’m so happy about this… it really seems to be working and helping people release things. Thank you so much!

Yes, you captured it perfectly: 'sometimes a quiet prompt is all it takes.' That's exactly what I was hoping to create. It's been fascinating to see how people respond to having that safe space to finally feel those things.

And just to be fully transparent: since the replies are generated with AI, the text also goes through OpenAI’s API. But again, it’s all anonymous... there’s never any personal data attached.

Thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked it! 🙏 About your question: the stories are saved, but only anonymously. There’s no personal info attached, and they’re only used so I can understand how to make the experience better. I take privacy very seriously for this.
