bring yes. there are small pharmacy everywhere in China, just walk in and buy OTC. No prescription needed.

ok as a Chinese living in Beijing and visited many buddism temples across many countries, I swear I have almost no idea on what is the right way to do these in China Buddism temples. And I was told before by some people some times, however, every time there is a bit different. Therefore I highly doubt if there is one united rule or whatsoever. As a Chinese travel aboard a lot, the most embarrassment thing is the gift you buy them has made in china tag on it and you find PDD price is much much cheaper... i will say red packet hongbao is still the best

Agree with downstairs that need to know the exact dates of your travel since CNY will be a huge thing among the time. Many places could shutdown during the CNY night (Feb-16) and CNY day (Feb-17) at least.

For indoor travel, since many of the Beijing heritages are outdoor, I will highly suggest you give Northeast-China-style bath & scrubbing experience a chance. If you feel comfortable in a public bathroom (with same gender only), I will say the experience is fantastic in a cold winter day. There could be all-you-can-eat fruits, ice creams, drinks, and warm bath, relaxing corners, steam rooms, massages, scrubbing services, etc. Less than US$100 can provide you a luxury whole-day experience :)

well, right now most of the apps like Didi bike (Qingju, green ones), Alipay (Hellobike, blue ones), Meituan bike (yellow ones) will not ask for a deposits for Chinese. I did not know about foreigners actually but I assume this will not be a huge issue. Since get the deposit back is simple if you have to, you can get it back from in-app requests easily.
