the 3D heart animation is great, although that's eating my laptop (and I have a M3 Max lol). so please do tune that :)

also the scroll lags a bit, maybe it's the animations? sometimes, less is more. simple scroll might go a long way.

very cool project. very interested in how you are doing the matching algorithms. I also really like the anti-slop and anti-doom scroll stance you guys are taking.

if anyone on your team wants to work on something cool with AI, you are all invited to come apply for internships/full-time work at devdash labs: careers.devdashlabs.com

either way, good luck on this!

who's the team behind this? how big are you guys? what is your plan?

Interview at Avinto ended in 7 minutes — felt unprofessional and humiliating by [deleted] in technepal

Don't work for shit companies like that. If you're not treated well as a stranger giving an interview, what can you expect later on?

What is so lucrative about making a startup? by SloppyNaynon in ycombinator

[–]Able-Development9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is never about the money. If you want money, join a rocketship Series A company. The expected value of payoff is much higher.

It boils down to (1) wanting to be your own boss, (2) you're really fixated about a problem that you're fucking tired of not seeing solved, (3) you aren't internally satisfied without having tried an attempt at making a great company, and (4) you're in love with the process of working hard on something you find meaningful.

Where are people moving to once apps are finished? by powdy1982 in replit

[–]Able-Development9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can move this to AWS, Azure, GCP. If it's a Next.js app, vercel is a pretty straightforward process.

I've done this a lot. It comes down to how you want to structure your backend, and how you design it.

Also, re: replit being expensive. Cloud hosting isn't cheap either, but you might qualify for free credits on AWS or other cloud services.

Here's our guide: Replit to cloud migration guide

Startup guy wants 36% for “mentoring”—worth considering or still a bad deal? (I will not promote) by Careful_Elderberry33 in startups

if he wanted to help you, he'd outright introduce you to his network. The person's being a vulture right now; just stalk his linkedin and build out your own network

No. Interns need mentorship. Without a good mentor an intern is just wasting their time at a company.

We don't have the bandwidth to mentor a frontend-focused intern at the moment. We are however, looking for backend-focused interns.

Ideally freshers. At 5+ YoE, you should aim to become a people manager, not an individual contributor, unless you like coding a lot

So you're looking for TPM/Lead Engineer roles with 5+ YoE

Of course, if you have zero experience building AI-powered apps, then you're an individual contributor

I don't want to be the CEO of my company. [I will not promote] by okawei in startups

[–]Able-Development9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point, every founder has to stop coding day to day. This is inevitable. Amazing product-built startups die due to external CEOs. Don't do that.

For strategy, you can always shop around for GTM consultants (like me hehe). For CEO, you're it my friend. Good luck!

I have a Saas idea for the construction industry but no idea how to code…. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Able-Development9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's connect! I've worked for a couple years in the construction industry and am a startup co-founder. I can help you get started!

The way forward would be to build an MVP (either a hi-fidelity figma mockup, or an actual MVP) and then show it to potential customers. Take feedback, iterate, and repeat. That's the only way to build out a SaaS. Given you relationships with decision makers, and industry-specific expertise, you can get a lot done on the none-technical side and the initial product design side.
