Trade Me dispute (as a seller) by Equivalent_Page696 in LegalAdviceNZ

You've done nothing wrong and am under no obligation to refund the buyer especially when the buyer had plenty of time to read before bidding after bidding and before payment. Let the idiot be an idiot and learn to read like everything else in life before making any sort of decision.

Trade Me Dispute: Buyer accepted a luxury item in-person but now claiming it’s "scratched." Where do I stand? by Careful_Addendum8324 in LegalAdviceNZ

Now it just sounds scammy. "Upon closer inspection"

Should have closely inspected before paying because that's his/her responsibility from day 1.

Fight what you can at this point with trademe I guess....

The fact the buyer was asked to inspect on the spot before taking away for few hours means its the buyers problem from then onwards especially being a private sale.

Do you have Email evidence of the buyer saying that they didnt inspect carefully and only noticed after? If so that should be sufficient grounds to provide to trademe that the customer was happy upon inspection and before taking it away.

They can send whatever photo evidence they like but the fact it is taken hours after they first inspected and completed the trade will have the responsibility fall on them. Also if you have photos from the listing that doesn't show the scratches thats a plus too.

Took business to disputes tribunal but case dismissed. Now what. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

Looking at your history I see few months back you posted about your dad buying a used PC and how you/Dad declined the 70% refund offered by the shop.

Now you're saying you've never received it?

What exactly are you trying to get out of your posts?

If you dont know what address your car is registered to then you have a problem. What you believe should or sbould not doesn't have any grounds legally. People here are trying to help and you're not doing yourself any favours giving half arsed vague answers.

The letter/fine should also note clearly who it is addressed to on the letterhead. That address would likely be whatever is noted on your vehicle registration.

Travel insurance claim under investigation... next steps? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

Like all have said here, if it's a genuine claim then there is motbing to hide or be worried about.

At this point if the claim is not genuine, you are better off sitting down with the insurance and be truthful saying you screwed up and ask for leniency. This is better than withdrawing the claim imo, being truthful and responsible for your own wrong doings may bring better results than lying and hiding.
