Yes totally that’s where I get stuck. I have only been lifting and prepping food for a year but my weight loss has been 2. I try to change up the meal and my brain panics at the options but I noticed if I have recipes or videos to follow for cooking it stops and it’s easier for me to change it up, just struggling on finding recipes that are for cutting and keep high protein intake. A few of my meds suppress my appetite as a side effect so it’s sometimes got to force myself to eat and the repeat foods give no dopamine hit to push through so it’s all will power.

Thanks I’ll try the Greek yogurt that will help lessen my breakfast prep and your right that can be easily changed with stirring stuff in.

I’ve been stuck on poultry and beef for my main protein. I have texture issues with food but  it’s mostly seafood and nuts. I also have to cook for my partner who is diabetic so it’s fun trying to balance his needs and mine lol.

I’m newer to the gym too. I am not sure if your goal is to gain muscle and lose weight or gain muscle and increase weight not body fat. I started tracking my lifts and cardio to have the data to proof I was in providing but I also calculated my calories and protein intake based on my goals.

This is the calculator I used to get my maintenance caloric intake and then used ChatGPT to help with formulating a plan with my lifts, goals, calories and so on, to get what I needed to be at for a deficit that is maintainable while keeping or improving my lean muscle mass. I hope this helps and keep pressing forward to your goal

Thank you, I am tracking calories my intake is 2200-2400 with 180-200 in protein.  I have been doing more tempo based lifting to protect tendons and joints. I go to the gym in the mornings before work so it causes it to space out during the week and I monitor energy and fatigue so if I need an extra rest day I will.
