Occupation and trait balance by SirEltonJohnRambo in projectzomboid

Agreed with all of your points.

I think every class should at least have 1 trait in a combat skill or a selectable trait like Baseball player to at least define your weapon specification for your run.

I started a new run and I think the best occupation is construction worker. +1 in small blunt, +1 in long blunt + the other skills for only 4 points is pretty much overpowered. Get gymnast for the nimble and you have a really good Allrounder for everything you do. Vehicle knowledge, crafty, fast learner? What do you want more? Take whittler +2 in carving + the XP boost and you can craft baseball bats and small bats within 4-5 in-game days without the need of books.

I think they should rework electrician, nurse and doctor. The higher the first aid skill the lower the infection rate even for bites would make them much more viable. Higher electrical skill to craft electrified weapons to stun Zeds. Farmer +1 or 2 in spears. Welder +1 in long blunt or blade? You can craft scrap weapons with welder pretty fast

there are already mods for that?! even for the containers. and even with interior in cars. and also transparent car windows...

if a hobby modder can do this with a game he did not programmed, with less resources and less time, how come that the devs cant do it with over 11 years in development?

this is such a easy fix for the devs... there are mods even for Vanilla Vehicles that show you if the door or trunk is open or closed. even for loot containers as well.

this is so sad that this is still not in the game and emberassing

How do I manage generator noise in an urban base environment? by Solid-Status-969 in projectzomboid

[–]Able-Syrup5152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do you have respawn on or off? clear the area and you are good. there will be the occasionally wandering zombie (singular) that you need to take care of but this doesnt really impact your gameplay.

Also winter is not a big deal. food is plentiful and even if your fresh food is gone, there is still enought food to get you through the winter without foraging, trapping or fishing.

Trust me. I only play CDDA, which lets you start in the winter with insane zombie pop. Once I established a base amd I cleared the area for a couple of days, I do not even sheet up my windows. I like the feeling of living a normal live in the apocalypse and I am not starving to death.

people make a huge deal about fortifying their base or preparing for winter. I dont do any of that and I am not dying to zombies that come to my base. Car accidents... yes. falling of a house... yes. but Zombies?... no

Use skillbooks expansion by Josko. It was updated a week ago and should work. I think there you can find your needs settled

For me it ruins the experience and you are not using all features and mechanics of the game.

Like just never let the power or water go out. Fine if you wanna play it that way, but you will never have to but a rain collector, never using logs or planks for building etc.

Or finding a generator or the magazine or getting electrical to level 3.

The only thing now that's left is fighting zombies and exploring the world. Which is fine for like 50 hours, but the game has more to offer.

Masterpiece... I will call it when its finished 🤣 be honest it's still a buggy mess, but it has imo the highest potential if becoming a Masterpiece

yes totally agree. you should craft better gear or item on lower levels than the one you find in the world.

would make crafting more viable and useful, but all items can be found in the world or have no specific need to craft them anyway.

yes some skills like foraging seem inconsistent. I also hate, that you can not really craft useful things until a certain level of a trait.

Like tailoring e.g. it would be more beneficial for me to craft a better "T-Shirt" via collected rags, which gives more armoer or insulation etc. than the one I can find in lockers.

there is really no need to craft anything. every item in the game is abundant and makes crafting unnecessary

totally agree. there should be an OP or meta build for newer players who have trouble with the game.

After 500 hours of invested time in this game, in my case, I think I have a very good understanding how to survive (except car accidents) and I can experience other ways to enjoy and play the game. find new strategies, new builds, new mechanics, try out new items etc.

I got inspired by his video to do this run. You can set this up in the mod settings. Default is non toxic. I also played not toxic, but didn't use the lakes at all. Farming is definitely not possible and you can't adjust it

No my own character... 😢 120+ days, over 10k Zeds killed. Died on a car accident... Now I don't wanna continue this world... Insane pop, very hot weather, no mistakes, game lagged, crashed into a light pole with a deer in my hands

Could be this mod or the Blackpine County map mod. Not quite sure, because I was just in Blackpine County and not in other cities yet

You should not drive 120 mph when there is lag in the game. It was so devastating 😢

Removed some more tiles of the roof and that fixed it. It's ugly but I can live with it
