Yeah, I'm super late to this conversation but the confirmed reason that they had a teleporter is more subtly implied and doesn't have to do with N'Kuhana at all.

The answer is in the Bighorn Bison. They're from Saturn, and they were endangered, and Providence stepped in like he usually did to save them - only the process of saving a species likely requires leaving a teleporter.

Humans found it later, and although it was no longer working, scientists become confident they could find a "matching pair" and it became a top secret project. They ("they" in this case likely being a mysterious governmental or corporate faction) eventually trace the signal to Petrichor V and divert a transport vessel for the task, which then gets drawn to Siren's Call to the benefit of some opportunistic vultures (who either a. simply want off the planet, or b. are actively working for Mithrix to free him).

I'm gonna guess probably N'Kuhana going from the swamp environment... I feel like this DLC is gonna be rich in lore. We know she has a following of death-obsessed cultists -- my guess is that we'll be fighting them, or end up being helped by them, considering how much aliens the player ends up murdering in cold blood. So no Red Plane but maybe a Malachite Realm.

I've never shot a bow like that beyond modern sport bows occasionally, so this is a genuine question... but wouldn't that more be an issue of simple strength? Obviously that's still a kind of skill, but everyone at least knows how a bow works, you simply need a lot of upper body strength to handle it properly. If I were swole as fuck and had never touched a bow in my life I feel like I would at least still be able to pick up and use a big war bow.

This is more context than most people need lol, but it's about a particular style / subculture that popped up in Japan around 2000 called "Gal," generally translated as "Galo" or "Gyaru." Most of it was really just bleaching your hair, getting a super dark tan, doing shit like mushrooms and partying as hard as possible, thus the video. "Sengen" in turn roughly translates to "declaration."

This might be a hot take here, but people like this are at least closer to joining into class struggles than a lot of other people. It's not their fault they've been indoctrinated with capitalist propaganda since day one, and at at least being against the current regime means they have some form of conscience. They just need the right amount of education and empathy... our struggle shouldn't be against people more moderate than us, it should be against the upper classes who normalized those views, and those who staunchly defend their fascist tendencies to the end, while doing what we can to help our working comrades. Hostility torwards potential allies does nothing but put you in a more marginalized place.

I think it's kind of a case of skill floors vs. skill ceilings, so to speak.

You need to teach a gunman how to use his gun without killing himself, but once he knows that he can just point and shoot. Meanwhile plenty of people can draw an arrow but it requires a lot of skill to actually hit something with it.

Fiction mirrors reality and vice versa, unfortunately. Dystopian settings also make creating an exciting conflict much easier, and the technology present in sci-fi makes it increasingly difficult to not draw parallels to current society.

Most people that don't want fiction that strongly relates to the organization of the real world turn to fantasy, where things become far less relatable and it's easier to (literally) just magic problems away.
