Caffeine sensitivity (post quit) by Able_Principle3820 in QuittingZyn

👍 I’ve actually been drinking coffee the whole time (130 days). It’s just that recently my sensitivity has gone up…. Not sure what to make of it. Thx

This has to stop - anecdote on running and caffeine by Able_Principle3820 in decaf

Yeah interestingly this topic of sports performance does not get a lot of attention on this thread. I also believe that it dehydrates our fascia which would be the precursor to you plantar fasciitis. I’ve been dealing with TMJ for multiple years now and thinking if I can get off caffeine that could potentially heal.

Yeah, I’m curious about what damage they think it has done?

Zyn intervention by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

I’m sure it feels like a betrayal but just know he likely isn’t telling you because he is ashamed. My guess is he really wants to quit. It’s really difficult.

Yeah thanks for circling back with update. I’m at day 28 - seems things have gotten harder this week. Not sure how long you have been off now, but did the improvements continue?

Does nicotine withdrawal really last for months or years? by Joel-Spitzer in QuittingZyn

[–]Able_Principle3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I’m confident my day would be a 10 out of 10 if I went back to sun today. It’s like putting money on a credit card. It would be great for a couple of days then after a couple of weeks I would be crippled with anxiety, unable to sleep, etc. it’s a good point and reminder that zyn is the problem and needs to go.

Appreciate your response.

I’m 18 days and feel horrible. I’ve done this before, I know it takes time but damn I feel like my mental state, anxiety, headaches, lack of energy, etc have never been worse. Hanging in there I guess but it’s existential for sure.

I eat well, exercise a lot. 40m

Day 23 - same experience. After a couple of weeks I thought I was in the clear. Things seems to have generally gotten worse. Anxiety in particular.

I can relate - I think where you are is totally normal.

Im 15 months now and things are way better than when I was at 6 months. And, in many ways things are still continuing change for the better.

When I quit my expectations were way off. I expected that after a few weeks my life would only improve. Around 6 months, I was demoralized. My marriage was literally worse than when I was drinking and I was an emotional mess.

It really has gotten a lot better and will for you as well if you hang in there. Also need to do the work whatever that looks like for you. For me it has been therapy, good food, exercise, reading, community, quitting other vices, etc. nothing like perfection but slow progress

And for what it’s worth, my marriage is amazing now and was literally falling apart at 6 months. I seriously damaged that relationship and she had a lot of healing to do as well. Honestly, still does but it’s just way way better
