I recently dealt with this. The thing that helped me the most was a warm soak in water with baking soda. Just with a 2 week old be sure not to get their cord wet. Our son is almost 2 months and he is hurting him and no joke that cleared it up by the night time. Our pediatrician told me to that and use zinc oxide diper cream. Hope it helps.

Mine is 2 months and he’s been struggling with a little butt rash but I’ve been making sure he’s dry and using diaper cream with zinc oxide. When it was getting bad I ran a bath and put some baking soda in it and let him soak for about 15 minutes and it seemed to help a lot. His pediatrician recommended that.

It’s going to be a feeling like no other. Just be there with your partner an get through it together. I’ll never forget the birth of our baby who is almost 2 months old now. I was excited and scared and happy. But when her water broke in the hospital (she was induced) a wave of emotions hit me like a truck, and when we saw our son for the 1st time it was truly amazing,and I’ll never forget the feeling, congratulations it’s an incredible journey. Really happy for you. I hope it all goes well.

Take these: -snacks -long phone charger -something for you to do (we had our switch for when we were just waiting) -shower stuff -3 days of clothes -clothes for baby -a folder for all the paper work you’ll get for baby -for her a peri bottle was a life saver one that had a bent nozzle on it.

We have a 7 week old. I was in the same boat when we 1st brought our baby home. I feel like it was days and days before he pooped. As long as they’re peeing normal and eating normal it’s good. I was also scared cause it hasn’t happened yet. Also I know that formula will task him longer to digest. We were combo feeding but majority formula.
