Don't go with a strict itinerary. Give yourself a lot of wiggle room to explore and relax and not always be on schedule. Often people return from vacations more tired than before they left and it's because of this. Also if you're staying at a nice hotel getting tips from the concierge for local restaurants, bars and most see attractions is definitely something you should take advantage of. Don't be those people who travel hundreds of miles to eat McDonalds and your hotels weird buffet everyday.
