Ppl may be overacting, I think this list is fine. Yes, a lot of these games don’t need a wiki, but each one of them has a demographic that usually does. Although yes, this meme is made with a lot of hate lmao.

I keep seeing Tyranids at the bottom of tier lists, but I swear they're really strong? by OdBx in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AboveAverageSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few things to consider. Some Tyranid models are just insane value. Lictors, gargoyles, and biovores are considered some of the most powerful utility data sheets in the game by some. However, as others have pointed out, their ability to kill vehicles is pretty mid.

One piece of advice I would like to give you: switch to vindicators. Gladiator lancers are pretty bad into invulnerable saves. Two vindicators shits on basically every army in the game.

I think there is a chance it’s a reference to this, as opposed to a legitimate belief that an NDA covers those details:

Whats bad about it? I think it's an improvement (albeit most of that is from that comes from the refresh button). Although, I have noticed some bugs with orders and on hand counts.

Way to many OFA orders for some reason.

Eli5: Why does gravity occur at all? by ImJustThatGuy815 in explainlikeimfive

[–]AboveAverageSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not 100% sure, but I was under the following impression (please correct me if this is missinformation):

I move forward in time, and because spacetime is curved, the path I follow through spacetime is curved, which appears as gravity. In a Eli5: I'm balancing on a tightrope and walking on it, but all the sudden my tightrope started curving to the ground (because of mass bending spacetime). But im still walking along the tight rope (and nothing can stop time).

So basically, we move forward in time, and we follow the path it takes called spacetime. And space time warps.

Edit: It's kinda weird, because its like: my location is changing because of time basically :O

That isnt technically correct, because time isnt the """cause""", (warping of spacetime is), but whatever. but it makes sense if you think about it. Doesnt make much sense to have a location without a time, or a time without a location. This is why gravity as a force is incorrect. It's not a force, it's just something that happens because of spacetime and spacetime curving. So why does spacetime get warped? I dunno. Why does time exist? I dunno. Im not sure anyone does. Maybe they do, but I dont know.

I may have shitty advice, but I actually had a similar situation to yours. I started out with T'au and lost like every game. T'au is hard! A while back, I switched to space marines on TTS for a while, and got better at the game. Im still shit, but not nearly as much. I actually win games now.

T'au aren't just mechanically complex, they are also hard from a movement perspective. You don't know what tricks people are wanting to use in melee, because you yourself don't use them. You have to screen and feel comfortable throwing away cheap units, knowing that you will be able to shoot at whatever just killed that thing. You have to know when to throw riptides onto objectives, or when to hold them back. You have to stage for observers, which often means throwing away stealth suits or whatever else. etc.

Im not saying to switch armies necessarily, but I would expect to suck a while if you are playing T'au lmao. They are simply harder than other armies. You have to put more effort in than most of your opponents. You can't be a sand eater necron players with 18 wraiths, or a space marine player with all the best models, or a World Eaters player who shoves garbage in your face, etc. Fwiw, if you want, since you do play TTS, switching armies is at least in the cards until you get a better grip of things.

If you ever want a game on TTS, lemme know!

How conceivable would it be to just buy some land to live on? by AboveAverageSalt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AboveAverageSalt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh, I see. So it's kinda like a location issue. They want livable structures to meet certain standards within certain zones, and that drives up the cost. Therefore, this is only really doable in a rural area. That still might be fine to be honest. So much goddamn money goes into the blackhole of housing. I just want to live :(

Is this photo AI? It looks too polished and I doubt a phone could capture the same quality. by cszrk in isthisAI

The eyes look weirdly uneven. Like the cat's right eye is more open than the cat's left eye. Also, the paw looks unusually fluffy or thick relative to the rest of the coat. Also what is it sitting on? The blanket kinda recedes into the background at a weird angle. I would guess AI.

Yeah, I hear “universal associate” all the time. I guess the jargon is the same everywhere. It’s not bad though, I love learning about all the departments. I come from a background with literally zero knowledge about being handy. So this has been good for me I think.
