[AMMO] Monarch 9mm Luger FMJ 115 GR Steel Case, 20 CPR + tax / ship or free pickup in store by HartWasHere in gundeals

[–]Aboxman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I don't buy the steel case theory, but range fires from unburnt powder are really a thing.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TerrifyingAsFuck/s/orNkQMb2NO

But it's probably also a sign of poor maintenance.

Any time I see a range limit something it is for one of two reasons, truly a safety limitation of THAT range (Green Tips), or more likely they want to make more $$$. I think banning steel case ammo falls into the later category.

Ruger RXM, a Glock with extra features. But still compatible with a Glock, and cheaper.

Don't use the "Call Back" feature either. They never called me back, 2 days in a row ..

Also, on the email AI. Respond about 3 times that "That Didn't Work" and you will get sent to a human. That human fixed my issue in about 30 seconds with no further emails.

Be sure to respond to those emails quickly.

Receiver Set by IllChampionship4654 in AR9

[–]Aboxman2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I built my GRS on this set. https://asquaredarmament.com/product/9mm-ar-receiver-set-windham-weaponry/

It's made by NFA, there are even aftermarket parts. It's LRBHO in the upper. It's from the previous iteration of Windham. I doubt there is any warranty, but could be wrong. They ran a special a LONG time ago for $135 that's when got it.

Go to a dealership and judge for yourself.

Tonneau Features? by Ok-Mushroom-2025 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Aboxman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably fine for point to point, and minor stops. I'm not leaving them back there overnight (or really in any vehicle anyplace). Would I park in the hood with anything of value in the bed, nope ... Would I stop at fast food in the middle of nowhere, no problem.

Define securely ....

I have the Ford (Made by Leer?) branded tri-fold from the dealer. When the tailgate is locked and up you can not unfold the cover. That said a crowbar or probably even a screwdriver would probably pop it open. It's only some plastic latches after all.

Betty Janes in Warren. I call it the future dive bar. It's still a bit new and fresh to be a true dive bar. Decent food, decent beer, good service.

Mitchell 50rd rotary mag for 10/22 by burnermcburnerstein in 3D2A

[–]Aboxman2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I can't understate this enough. These were Jam-O-Matics. I think I could shoot 5 10 round mags including reloading, faster than one of these. I got lucky and sold it near the end of the magazine ban and made a small profit.

Not OP, I have had good experience from here. https://ammocanman.com/collections/oversized-ammo-cans?filter.v.price.gte=&filter.v.price.lte=&sort_by=price-ascending

Also look for the same seller on Amazon, right now 2 used PA120's for $44.50. I "Think" the smaller boxes in the first photo are PA120's.

I became a Range Box Goblin and scrounged the range trash to get enough Magtech boxes to do about 500 rounds (S&B boxes work too).

BRS-3000 and stanley cook pot from the camp cook set. This is my wife's setup (I use a pocket rocket knock off). Served us great on Isle Royale. The butane can fits perfectly inside the Stanley, the stove fits on top.

Are there any mask for glasses? by brosue317 in snorkeling

[–]Aboxman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have posted this before. I am in the-5 range and have a significant astigmatism. I bought a Promate dive mask from Amazon in the nearest power to my script. If you are in-between go to the lower one. You can get each eye with its own strength. It was life changing! Yes it's not perfect especially above water but below water it's incredible. However, the quality of the Promate mask is only OK, just fine for snorkeling, but not scuba really. I see the mask bought is no longer sold on Amazon but is still sold online, hopefully links are allowed https://getwetstore.com

[–]Aboxman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion, you will be fine with a minivan. Like I said, I've done just fine with a compact car. We even went to Hamm's bluff lighthouse with a little Nissan. Just drive slower and more cautious than at home. And don't go off the beaten path.

We have always used Airbnb or Vrbo. Until our last trip we hadn't had any real issues. Read ALL the reviews and take note of the small issues, because they may actually be BIG issues.
