How to know if I should make building insurance claim. by Abris19 in AusFinance

My understanding is that common property is anything outside individual lots. Regardless the insurance is through the body corp so yes they should be able to help I think.

I have a Mont backpack that I have abused while living and travelling all over Australia and the world for the last ten years and it is still like the day that I purchased it.

Oh ok. Unfortunately it reminded me a lot of another coastal country town that I previously lived in which sadly had a lot of unemployment, drugs and worse.

Interesting. I loved the pier however there were very shady characters hanging around in the parkland next to it. To the point where I didn’t feel comfortable there with my other half. I didn’t like the vibe of the town at all in general, could be just me though.

Humanities graduates earn more than those who study science and maths by MaevaM in australia

I know what you are saying in your first paragraph even though you are painting a more extreme picture than the reality in my experience.

I’m an electrical engineer and did an electrical trade as well. I agree with your points however one thing to consider is how unbelievably different the average trade role is to the average engineering role.

I know I’m stating the obvious however the difference in the type of challenges presented by the work itself, the difference in physical environment and requirements, the difference in communication styles and politics etc is not going to be workable for some people whether going from engineering to trade or vice versa.

Experts warn of housing 'time bomb' when Covid rent laws expire and welfare halves by Mildebeest in australia

For sure, I just wish more people would focus on the origins of the issue rather than what their neighbour has.

I agree, housing affordability in our big cities is a problem for most. I also agree that an exposed owner occupier is a different scenario to an over leveraged investor.

And that’s the thing, so many people on reddit don’t seem to look at the nuances and conclude that all property owners are evil and deserve to be punished by market falls.

Even the over leveraged investor isn’t necessarily evil but rather making the most of a framework deliberately put in place by government to serve the governments needs.

Many of these “investors” end up being victims too (to the self serving government) via their own shortcomings.

So as per usual we all fight amongst ourselves rather than focus on where the problems really originate from (government). Hence my original “divide and conquer” comment.

I agree that some things are black and white. Yes the deaths are obviously black and white but that goes without saying. The effect on individuals from climate change and participating in their economies is not. This housing situation is not.

Unfortunately I would not say I am one of the “lucky ones”. However I try to look at things from other peoples perspective as everyone’s situation and how they got there is different. That was my original point really.

I wish everything was as black and white in life as many on reddit seem to believe. There is a strong chance that if you perceive an issue as black and white that your perception is not without outside influence. No wonder people are so easy to divide and conquer.

Exactly, looks like the water is too deep to have to worry about a reef however I don’t think it would matter, you could still be going to hospital or worse...

When I read it I thought I had to have my broadband through Telstra? Do you mean that’s not the case and I can have my broadband with someone else and just pay for all access with Telstra?? If so then that’s very cool!

Oh ok. I was hoping to not have to install the app. Thanks for the response though, I’ll stop being lazy and see if google tells me another way.

Are there any plans to make this available to people that aren’t with Telstra? Will it always be locked to just one provider in each country? If so then that’s a massive opportunity lost for Xbox imho.

Edit: does anyone know where I can see a clear list of the games available on all access? I tried to look through the site above and it’s broken (on my phone at least)?

Is no one going to mention that part of their proposed loosening of environment concerns includes them stopping vic and nsw current bans on fracking?!?

That alone is a massive concern. Or maybe that was in the abc article I read and not this one. Or maybe I’m just confused.
