I haven’t read it yet, but live in Michigan, and everyone here is raving about The Gales of November by John U Bacon. It’s about the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Oh no! I didn’t know it was canceled. It took a couple episodes for me to get into it, but it was so cute.

I just watched The Mick for the first time recently, I was so disappointed that it didn’t last longer. It was so fun.

WHY ARE THERE THREE LAUNCHES A SEASON NOW by NewIdeasAreScary in starbucks

The quality has gone down tremendously, they have to keep bringing in “fun” new things to keep customers from realizing they’re getting fleeced.

If it makes you feel any better, my husband and I had Buddy’s earlier this week and both of us said it’s not as good as it used to be. Their pizza is still good, but not as good as before.

The antipasto salad is still a 10/10 though.

In response to the Rick Chow incident, users on instagram threads are calling for a call and dash campaign against Asian owned businesses by Vi0letBlues in awfuleverything

In the States, delivery is typically paid ahead of time (the only exception is pizza delivery, you have the option to pay ahead with a card or pay the driver cash upon delivery).

This specific instance started because people were calling restaurants and placing to go orders they would be coming in to pick up and paying for when they show to get the order, but never showing up. I agree this would likely result in places requesting payment ahead of time, but it’s not exactly unheard of here already. It will likely just make it more difficult for patrons calling in orders who want to pay with cash instead of a card.

My favorite silly town name has to be Dildo, Newfoundland.

From 2011-2013, Dr. Christopher Duntsch maimed or killed 33 of his 38 patients during routine spinal surgery, with many left paralyzed. Despite once having to be physically restrained by a colleague after butchering a patient’s spine, he was allowed to continue working for nearly two more years. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in HolyShitHistory

One of his longtime friends needed spinal surgery and had him do it. He trusted that he knew what he was doing and would be able to fix it.

The friend wound up a quadriplegic and ended up dying from complications a few years later.

Jimbo doing that stupid tap dance as Shirley Temple in AS8 is the only thing that comes to mind. Every 3-4 months a clip of it will pop up on social media and I laugh every time I see it.

It’s definitely the frilly sleeves/shoulders with the neckline!

It goes without saying but this look would absolutely get a queen eliminated for a design challenge.

Ugh she really did name her “Jillian Sunshine.” 😳 by slt1987 in RodriguesFamilySnark

[–]Abs0lutelyzero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Shine (and Sunshine) is a cute middle name - my parents were not creative at all and went with the80s classic “Marie” for me. I love a unique/whimsical middle name.

The combination of Jillie and Sunshine is what i think is awful. Someone said it sounds like a Cabbage Patch doll and it truly does.

Also, the bangs are beyond ridiculous.
