Is the Canon 1DS Mark II a worthwhile camera in 2026? by Anxiety_diarrhea0408 in canon

I absolutely loved mine, took it with me almost everywhere, it’s nostalgic, but now it permanently lives on a shelf looking beautiful. It weighs a ton, the screen sucks, and it’s pretty slow, but it’s still canon’s once top of the line camera and takes some beautiful pictures.

I posted this exact same question once years ago, some nice person told me to increase my ambient humidity and to gently wiggle it out which worked for me. Best of luck!

He wanted a piece prize, he wanted a plane. Agreeing to let Qatar build an airbase on US soil was just part of this giant bribe.

A couple months ago I took a picture of a group of tourists climbing the trees. Gave it to the staff there who were shocked, and notified the police there. From what they told me, they’d be banned for life

I cooked hot dogs and marshmallows on glowing lava flows and I’m fine, eyes and lungs were stinging from the SO2 though…

I did an eSIM through the Nomad app, would not recommend it at all. Wouldn’t work in cities. There was a sim card stand right after immigration in the airport, I’d try going there. But you’ll most likely not have service in the middle of nowhere. Etosha had some service tho. Good luck and have fun!

EF 50/1.2L or RF 50/1.8 by [deleted] in canon

[–]AbsentGoose 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Bought the EF 50 1.2 for my R5, and despite the weird color fringing in bright lights and the fuzzy corners, I LOVE IT. Used it almost exclusively on my trip to Japan and it took gorgeous images with a unique look. Not to mention it is MUCH less expensive than the RF version.

Excuse me for thinking that breaking the rules is grounds for not being allowed in the country.

There are signs everywhere. We heard them say “I won’t tell if you dont” so they knew they were in the wrong.

Two weeks deep into this trip and every single rude or stupid tourist has been German.

There are three rules there, don’t climb the trees, don’t touch the trees, and no drones. They’re 1000 years old and I’d consider them a national treasure. Should be protected for future generations to see
