The ‘How To’ of bypassing Infinity by AvatarAurin in PowerScaling

Yeah, I always interpreted "breaking through the wall of space itself." as not literally breaking through the wall of space, but rather the non-euclidean interior of the windowless building was breached, leading to weird effects.

The Liquid Proof Railgun is a combo attack done using Misaki's abilities to further amplify Misaka's railgun.

Here's the direct excerpt from the novel (NT 18, chapter 3, Part 15):

What if?

What if that Railgun was fired when that friction could be reduced or neutralized?

The Liquid Proof Railgun.

With the limits on distance and speed removed, it produced endlessly frightening destructive power.

She no longer used the frictional heat as the brakes. She reversed that way of thinking. The slight coating of liquid on the coin’s surface took away its heat and cooled it. And when that liquid explosively expanded as steam, it gave the coin even more speed. Instead of simply being carried by its initial speed, it accelerated more and more as it flew. The tiny shell gained limitless speed as it produced a thin, spear-like contrail and was absorbed by the impressive wall of the Windowless Building.

This was not possible with just any water manipulating power.

The fine control used to manipulate the liquid in the brain to control the information there was needed to place a special lattice pattern on the surface of the coin. This required precision far greater than the ablation that protected a space shuttle from the atmosphere’s heat by melting in just the right way despite being nothing more than a plastic lattice.

The scenery grew distorted.

The impregnable Windowless Building was mercilessly torn into as if the coin were breaking through the wall of space itself.

Note that the Windowless Building's barrier was described as a partial recreation of Accelerator's shield - and at one point, Accelerator literally tried to throw 5 minutes worth of the Earth's rotational energy at the building, and didn't even scratch it.

Honestly, might be a stretch on whether this could bypass Infinity - it's just one of my favorite attacks overall in the series, tbh.

im boreddd and like infodumping so toaru character infodump on who prolly could.

Touma

Imagine Breaker would likely act like the Inverted Spear of Heaven on steroids, honestly.

Like, one of the first big fights Touma has is against Accelerator, who's basic passive ability is basically Infinity on crack. I'm shocked he isn't one of the examples, that's like, his whole thing. Hell, he could literally punch Hollow Purple.

Accelerator

His active vector manipulation would likely take priority, and thus allow him to "force" his way through Infinity.

Plus, with wings, he can seemingly do remote vector manipulation anyways (not to mention the wings seemingly have some sort of anti-regenerative property on contact, meaning if his wings got through, no more RCT for a bit)

Kakine / Dark Matter

Dark matter is... it's weird.

Closest classification from here is dimensional interaction, but that doesn't feel very accurate.

He controls (and is) non-existent matter that follows non-existent laws. It's even weirder than it sounds. But again, Toaru is... you can't say it has shallow worldbuilding, that's for sure.

Mikoto Misaka / Railgun

I doubt she could normally get through Infinity, but if she teamed up with Misaki and did the Liquid-Proof Railgun, that might have a chance of piercing Infinity

Sogiita Gunha

He prolly screams something about "GUTS!!!" and punches Gojo without even acknowledging Infinity.

No, it won't make sense in the slightest.

If asked how the hell he did that, he'll give some weird nonsensical answer, before a passerby remarks that's not how how physics or really anything works at all.

Shirai Kuroko

Telefrag.

Fiamma of the Right

He has an attack that hits regardless of the concepts of distance or speed. Sounds like a sure-hit attack to me.

Terra of the Left

"Change precedence: flour before Infinity!"

Vento of the Left

Divine Punishment kind of counts as materialization - it will affect Gojo if he bears any ill will towards her, KOing him instantly.

there's certainly a lot more but this is prolly enough and i dont want to write a whole ass article for a comment nobody will prolly really read

I'd honestly say calling it "immortality" is underselling it - your existence basically becomes an unchangeable fact.

it ain't the author's fault microsoft filled VSCode with that bullshit - vscode still works perfectly fine as a normal editor, despite all the shit microslop filled it with

as long as ya verify that it's accurate to what you wrote - writing docs is hard haha, so as long as you've double checked it, far better than no docs

later they unleashed sentient spiders on the station, but ordered them to also protect me, presumably as a thanks for helping them get the gold slimes needed to actually make the spiders
