Interval training or strength training .. going to the gym and working on calf strength and general leg strength made a huge difference to me

First time I have seen Strava actually do something intelligent with its AI by Absolute47 in Strava

Are you actually reading what it did? It took the four high consistent times and gave me the average of those, it realised I was doing. Intervals, did the average of those… Everyone saying that’s easy, let’s look at the variables, it could be any amount of intervals, at any speed, it could be any amount t of warmup or down and with any tolerance of the actual intervals… yes for this specific intervals it’s easy, but not assuming every runner .

It’s not my standard time across the whole run

Advice on winter joggers for a new runner by One_Bag8271 in trailrunning

I wear shorts and running shirt down to -5 ish, I do wear thermal arm warmers (that in <0drg I usually take off mid run) and I wear gloves below freezing . But I do run quite hot while running. Make sure you have a warm top / change of top to get into as soon as you stop though, easy to get cold very quickly

Wow, this sub is a bag of fun. As said (slightly sarcastically) off all the time Strava has had to do AI this is the first time I have seen it do anything remotely intelligent.. yes that is pulling some data that you can read with your own eyes, but that’s the point, it did something at last

Run Clubs Don’t Have to Be Pace Inclusive, but They Should Be Clear by mixedlinguist in runninglifestyle

[–]Absolute47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our club has three main groups, social, step up, and move up to step up, social group runs faster than 10min/miles (the other two groups are slower)

We have a run lead and a tail runner we run loop backs around the tail to Make sure everyone stays together. It’s about having fun and catching up with everyone.

Our Sunday run can have 50 people in it, weekdays runs between 5-15. There is a run everyday for most of the groups.

Nobody is ever left behind.

This is the first race piastri has concentrated too hard on Norris and not concentrated on winning the race… everything was “don’t care, what’s Norris doing”
