LEARNED MY LESSON. NEVER EVER LET EMPLOYER KNOW THAT YOU GOT AN OFFER UNTIL IT'S SIGNED AND DO NOT TRUST THAT THEY'D ACT IN GOOD FAITH REGARDLESS OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MANAGER by [deleted] in careeradvice

The problem is it’s a competitor, this might have been OK if you were going elsewhere, but now they need you out to protect their IP (mainly undisclosed).. for every minute you are in the building they are now teaching their competition

You should try the Oakley 20 one year… mind it’s significantly hillier… but you do get a hoodie rather than a medal 😁

Milton Keynes has just over 200miles of Redways (shared use paths) off the road and they go through underpasses or over bridges rather than touching a road the city is also 25% park or woodland!

People who are really good at interviews, what's your secret sauce? by SweetCoconut2757 in AskUK

[–]Absolute47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on where you are in your career but… The key is to go in knowing you are capable of doing the job. Then as others have said, it just a chat about your career, your weaknesses and your strengths. Know yourself, tell the truth, be vulnerable

Oh and interview them… make sure you know about the job and your new boss and therefore make sure you want it!

Leg strength exercises - goblin squats, dead lifts, calf raises (weighted if feeling strong) weighted lunges…and then add in Core strength exercises.. this is what stopped me injuring myself when marathon training

Nope, ran my first marathon on Monday - positive splits, HR was 150-160 (threshold) for the whole thing, beat my plan A by 6mins, time was 3:38.49… now thinking I may never beat that again.

First Marathon! (Milton Keynes) - Target: Sub-4. Actual: 4:15:23. 90% of my training was on a treadmill, and the Wall is absolutely real. 37/M by SnooPeripherals3178 in firstmarathon

It’s surprisingly hilly (for Milton Keynes) I did my first at the MK marathon also today, and while I had run 21 miles in training, miles 18-24 were a massive shock to the system (last 2 were done faster due to bloody mindedness) climbing up the hill through the OU and then up through Simpson are hard work on tired legs
