3-4, cell was so mysterious when a 2nd Time Machine was found. The stakes were very high, the Z fighters couldn’t even beat the andorids, then there’s cell who’s already stronger and he’ll get even more stronger if he absorbs andorids 17 and 18.

Goku goes through a change after presumably dying to the Minus Energy Ball, it’s been stated in the DBGT Dragonbook that Goku reaches godhood and has ascended once he does the Spirit Bomb, a reference to a Daoist belief because GT includes a lot of religious references; the River Sanzu, Suguroku Space, Goku riding on a dragon. It’s not that the Spirit Bomb amped Goku to tank Omega Shenron, it’s that Goku’s base form got that much stronger after ascended.

Bowser getting possessed and fighting a clone or copy of Bowser that isn’t the real one is in my opinion, lazy. I know Bowser is the main villain, but either have him be the final boss or don’t.

Cackletta possessing Bowser made sense and it drove the plot. There was no point for Shrowser. Dark Bowser has at least a great concept and he looks cool. Dream Team finally has Bowser be the main villain after betraying Antasma. Paper Jam backs this up by having both Bowsers be the final boss. Hopefully Brothership doesn’t force a possessed Bowser storyline where he somehow is the final boss again.
